There is nothing “democratic” about self-described ‘Democratic socialist’ Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from New York. In fact, the Democratic Party is misnamed; they are a party of authoritarians and tyrants and if ever given the chance, they will seize all power and never relinquish again without a fight.
“Sandy Cortez,” as Tucker Carlson calls her, proved this again on Wednesday in what can only be seen as a desperate plea to her party’s leaders to pull out all the stops and pass all of the liberty-stealing legislation they can before the 2022 midterm elections.
“During the Obama admin, folks thought we’d have a 60 Dem majority for a while. It lasted 4 months. Dems are burning precious time & impact negotiating w/GOP who won’t even vote for a Jan 6 commission. McConnell’s plan is to run out the clock. It’s a hustle. We need to move now,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Of course he is. In opposition McConnell is the prince of procrastination, the doyen of delay, the overlord of obstruction.
Despite the hostility of many on this board, he has probably actually done more to preserve American liberty than Donald Trump and George W. Bush combined, and mostly by very effectively using the parliamentary equivalent of "standing athwart 'history' shouting, 'Stop!'"
Whenever you are tempted to badmouth him for his lack of fealty to Trump, just remember that it is because of McConnell that the phrase "Supreme Court Justice Merrick Garland" belongs to an alternate history, rather than reality.

Eh. He blocked conservative legislation as often as he blocked progressive.
IMO McConnell deserves more badmouthing than I’m capable of generating.
