Unhappy states consider census lawsuit to stop new political map

Population figures that decide how many congressional seats each state gets left many suspicious of the federal agency’s final report. Now some state leaders plan to sue over it.

Both parties have grievances with the Census numbers released on April 26, which found the United States to have just over 331 million people. New York, a strongly Democratic state, is set to lose a House seat, shrinking its total from 27 lawmakers in the chamber to 26. Most frustrating for New Yorkers is that the Empire State lost out on getting to keep all of its House seats by just 89 votes. Minnesota ended up the beneficiary, as it gets to keep all eight of its House seats.

Republicans, meanwhile, were disappointed that Texas only picked up two House seats due to rapid population growth and that Florida only added one. State governments in both are controlled by Republicans, and each expected to pick up an additional House seat, important elements in the party's bid for winning a majority in the chamber in the 2022 midterm elections.

House Republicans on the Oversight Committee questioned Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo in a recent letter, asking why “apportionment population results released by the Census Bureau are strikingly different from the population evaluation estimates released just months ago on December 22, 2020.”

The "disappointed" states need to demand an audit of the Census and a nationwide stay on redistricting pending the outcome of that audit.

And if the audit finds the revised Census numbers to be fraudulent, people (Rodents) need to go to prison.

In this case, it's "steal the electorate."

Of course. If you haven't "gotten the numbers" through a legitimate count, make them up.

I say lets do a recount and not include illegal aliens. It's not right that States with a high number of illegal aliens get more congressional districts than States that don't promote breaking the law.

Counties/states need to know the number of people in an area so new roads, water, gas, power can keep up with the number of people living there.  Companies, such as grocery stores need to know how many people live where.  The number of bodies count no matter what color/size they are.

Absolutely. The rats own the bureaucracies. You know, those who make/enforce the rules.

And since their slogan is the ends justify the means...

Andrew Carnegie determined how much steel to produce in any given year by counting the number of Philadelphia smokestacks emitting smoke.  He didn't need the government to do it for him.

Seems people have objections to democrats Nazi/Socialist/Communist rule, but remember the evil Trump who brought jobs and a recovering economy was defeated, so we can live in this fascists type government.  Did they not just recently admit to being Communists?  Communist/socialist only rule with the support of denial fools and in this case NeverTrumpers.  So how did we get to this utopian situation we are now in ?  Venezuela, here we come !
Notice the fascist are now bringing in new shortage crisis to rule like they did/do in Venezuela?  Just imagine how good cooked rat can be, or maybe someone you know !  Communist have long said they overthrow and rule by useful fools.....and they DO! Bon Appetite
