Kamala Harris Meets with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga

Vice President Kamala Harris met separately with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga on Friday morning during his visit to the White House complex.
Harris first welcomed Suga to the United States prior to their meeting in her office in the Executive Office Building across the street from the White House.
“It is now my great pleasure to welcome the prime minister of Japan and to thank him for this visit, which is the first visit to the United States of a world leader since we came in office,†Harris said.
She reminded Suga she hails from California, where there is “a very strong and vibrant Japanese American community.â€
“It is a community which I have — with which I have worked and lived for my entire life,†she said.
Suga thanked Harris for the meeting.
“I’m also very delighted to have the opportunity to meet with you, Vice President Harris, face to face today and have a wonderful conversation,†he said. “So I very much look forward to it.â€
The pair of leaders was later spotted on the balcony of the vice president’s office looking at the White House.
After the meeting, Suga traveled to the West Wing to visit President Joe Biden. He was greeted by the White House chief of protocol.
The timeline for the foreign visit was sharply different during former President Donald Trump’s administration.
Trump stood at the doors of the West Wing as Prime Minister Abe Shinzo visited the White House in 2017 and greeted him with a warm embrace:

It's pretty sad that we invite a foreign leader here, the press makes a big deal about the Presidential invite, and then the coup leader doesn't even show up.

Harris should have included the part about how Democrats confiscated the property of and incarcerated that "very strong and vibrant Japanese American community" back in the '40s.
It was Ronald Reagan who signed the Civil Liberties Act which offered an apology and restitution to the families of those Japanese Americans.

The article goes on to point out that there was no one there to greet the Prime Minister at the door, and that he had to enter the building unescorted. This is an unconscionable insult.

Personally, I believe this day may mark the beginning of the process of showing Biden the door. They did a trial run with Harris, but it did not go well at all. And in the process, we signaled to the entire world (and especially China) that Japan cannot count on the US to have their back, much less appropriately greet their prime minister.

In a highly disrespectful and embarrassing move, Kamala Harris welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga to the White House on Friday.
Joe Biden was nowhere to be found as Kamala Harris welcomed Yoshihide Suga, the first foreign leader to visit the Biden White House.
But it was way worse than we originally reported.
No one met Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga at the door when he arrived.
The only one standing there was a stationary Army guard.

So it should have been up to Heels Up and I would think the sec'y of state or the ambassador to Japan?
