This is idiocy.

Look, it's been a while...  But when I hired, I paid one dollar over minimum for the first month. If they made the month, I paid 12 bucks an hour for the next 3-6 months, depending on how they worked and how they plugged into my crews.

During that time, invariably, they would do some sort of damage that would send them packing... Load a truck wrong, Apply a coat wrong, bad stacking of wet product... There were a thousand ways to mess me up very badly... Walk in to find an entire unit of lumber hs turned into a brick because some dumbass took it off the racks to soon... That sort of thing...

Who PAYS for all that? Have you ever had to buy a unit of knotty pine tongue and groove? And then pay your guys to paint it again, because your guys messed it up the first time?

That's not just the cost of the damage... I have to buy that brick and all of the product and labor that went into it...

It's the cost of replacing the damaged product...
The cost of the new coating going on that replaced product...
The cost of the labor going into the replaced product...
And the lost production because your guys are replacing the product instead of doing what they were supposed to be doing.

That's thousands of dollars because of one dumbass...
Or the lack of oversight over the dumbass.
But either way, it's me that has to haul out my  wallet and pay that guy to f*ck me up.

I am not going to pay him good money for that.
I am going to pay him as little as I can. He could very easily cost me thousands of dollars with one stupid move.

When he makes his bones and proves his worth - That he ain't gonna f*ck me up... That he takes order well and works well with others... That I can plug him in wherever I need him and he will function well in any assignment - OOOOR he will stop if unsure and seek direction....

THAT's the guy that sticks.
That's the guy I will keep around and pay his way through the winter (when I am making damn little).

I paid well. I had a line of folks wanting to come to work for me. They wanted the good pay, and mostly they wanted the learning. But even with my pick of em, there was a winnowing process. Half were inept.
another quarter couldn't cut it. Out of what's left only one or two would have the knack.

The one or two are the ones that deserve that good pay. Not the rest.

BIDEMONICS: You aren't crazy. You are poorer than you were went Trump left office. The Democrats and their willing accomplices in the mainstream media are working overtime to convince you that you're crazy - they don't grocery shop with you.

Blue Origin returns crew flights to New Shepard with NS-25 mission

NSF by Adrian Beil May 19, 2024

Blue Origin succesfully returned to crewed flight with its New Shepard vehicle. The company performed the launch of the seventh human flight of the suborbital vehicle with the designated mission name “NS-25.” The launch window opened at 8:30 AM CDT (13:30 UTC) however, after some additional time needed for checkouts, final liftoff happened  one hour and six minutes after the opening of the window, at 9:36 AM CDT.

The flight was a success, and the only note during the flight was the fail of deployment of one of the three parachutes of the capsule. This is in the design margin of the capsule, and did not result in problems.

The crew

The six-person crew included Mason Angel, Sylvain Chiron, Kenneth L. Hess, Carol Schaller, Gopi Thotakura, and former Air Force Captain and previous astronaut candidate Ed Dwight. The six raised the number of people flown on New Shepard from 31 to 37.

Now that'll instill confidence in future ticket buyers! Watch out Musk :silly: :silly: :silly:

Biden's Morehouse Speech Is a Mess With Pandering in Overdrive, As Students Turn Their Backs on Him
Nick Arama

Joe Biden was at Morehouse College on Sunday to give a commencement address.

But his confusion started even before he began to speak. He spent a lot of time staring off, looking like he was lost in space.

Then he confusingly clapped when there was a call for an "immediate and permanent ceasefire," which of course would help save Hamas (and not help our hostages or our ally Israel).

But I don't think Joe really knows what he stands for from one minute to the next at this point. He's just clapping by rote because other people are applauding, regardless of the reason.

Then came a lot of pandering and of course, with Joe Biden a new edition to the original story -- his connection to Morehouse because of all the "Morehouse men" at the White House, so please vote for me:

"I got more Morehouse men in the White House telling me what to do than I know what to do! You all think I'm kidding, don't you?" he said. Again, another tell -- every time he says something like, "You think I'm kidding" or "Not a joke," be prepared for utter nonsense to roll out.

You know he had to slip in something about his heroic civil rights past. Not.

Then he tried to talk about how HBCUs got him elected. Watch as he stares off at the teleprompter, his voice almost trailing off as he has trouble reading it, and his head moving to the left as he tries to follow it.

It would be pretty funny if it wasn't also so sad that we have such an impaired person occupying the office.

Biden was really reaching with this confused take on George Floyd.

Joe's on a quickie "pander to the Negroes" tour. Today, he lied his @$$ off at Morehouse College.

Biden tells Morehouse grads there’s a “national effort to ban books” because Republicans are trying to “erase” black history

"I stood up for George — with George Floyd's family!"

I don't know what's up with those vaguely Egyptian figures behind him.
Black activists have been attempting to appropriate Egyptian culture to themselves for decades. Real Black sub-saharan African culture embarrasses them. It is part of the trend in the last 40 years to declare that every famous person in history was either Black or homosexual or both.
