Outspoken Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, a leader in the effort by states to fight President Joe Biden’s open-border policies and liberal election “reforms,” is joining the 2022 race to replace new Sen. Mark Kelly.
The Republican, who has been Arizona’s top prosecutor since 2015, told Secrets, "The notion of sitting in Barry Goldwater's chair, my hero, is just overwhelming, but things have kind of fallen into place, and we need an Arizona senator that represents Arizona values.”
He preceded his announcement by sending a letter to Biden urging him to return from an economic summit in London to address the border crisis. In that letter, he said, “This is a crisis of great proportions and it must receive our immediate attention. I am requesting that you end your overseas trip to return home to solve the catastrophe at our border.”
Brnovich has led a national case against Biden’s decision to stop deporting criminal illegal immigrants from cities.
