Characteristic of leftists - there are no other legitimate opinions besides their own. So of course there’s no way they can be opinionated.

Very True.
Leftists see themselves as Holy and Infallible.
This is why they think anyone, including other Leftists, who disagrees with them about anything is insane.
In their twisted minds, they believe everything they think and say is absolute 'truth'.
So as you said, they are not espousing an opinion, they are simply 'telling the truth'.
"It's not my opinion. It is just the truth."
