Veterans Day is one of the few times each year when partisan politics give way to honoring those who fought for this country. Politicians turn down the rhetoric. Social media users turn pages like Facebook into unofficial tributes to friends, family and strangers alike who served the country.
For far-left filmmaker Michael Moore, it's just another day to push his agenda to the masses. Moore sent out the following Tweet to mark Veterans Day 2013:
Today, as every day, 22 American veterans will commit suicide. Happy Veterans Day.

Today, as every day, Michael Moore will consume a dozen donuts, a bag of Cheetos, a large pepperoni and sausage pizza, three corn dogs, seven Coca Colas, a box of Ritz crackers, a brick of cheese, a bottle of bleu cheese dressing, two cold cut combos from Subway and two Hostess cupcakes. Happy Disgusting Pig Day.

The self-righteous and ever self-aggrandizing Michael Moore chose this Veterans Day, that special day Americans set aside each year to honor the selfless men and women who have served this country in defense of our freedom, to promote his own anti-American, anti-military brand on Twitter.

Of course, our brave veterans, many of whom have sacrificed their lives and in some cases, tragically, their mental health, did so in support of the liberties that are the birthright of every American.
Among those liberties are those ensconced in the 1st Amendment which, in addition to religious freedom and the right to assembly, offer this:
“
Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press...
These sacred words apply as much to Moore's vile self-promotion at the expense of veterans as to the honor and support of them shown by all decent Americans on this day.
Still, if Michael Moore is so concerned with the number of American veterans committing suicide, I challenge him to donate any amount of the money made my his anti-American films, which he was able to make due to the protection they offer us, to organizations such as Lone Survivor Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
Perhaps he could try saving those precious lives instead of standing on their graves.
