For anyone who was wondering... Yes, Texans can enjoy humor at their expense.

Give me a #2, double meat, all the way, add cheese, bacon, and jalapenos

Civil Wars may start on the Whataburger v. In and Out argument.

I can believe that.

The issue I have with Whataburger is that they're cheap with the pickles. I always have to take my burger home and augment the picklage. Burgers aren't burgers unless they have a healthy helping of pickles. Beware, Whataburger. Someone could come along and meet that need. You could lose me! Just giving y'all a heads-up.  :seeya:

I'm beginning to think that you and I might just get along @GrouchoTex

The most bad ass of Whatburger's fare is their Monterry Melt.  It's not on the open  menu very often, but if you ask for it, they'll know what you are talking about.  It's basically a plain double meat whataburger, with their jalapeno ranch sauce, queso, and grilled peppers and onions.

Make sure you order extra napkins.

16 here in SW Walker County. No problems here but the wife reports that a younger couple around the corner had many frozen pipes in their brand new house. Ugh! @GrouchoTex

Some history trivia...Crockett was actually pretty bitter about his loss in the 1835 congressional election, due to his opposition to Andrew Jackson's Indian Removal policies.  So when he said, "I told the people of my district that I would serve them as faithfully as I had done; but if not, they might go to hell, and I would go to Texas," he meant it!

@Bigun
No fun at all.
So far so good here, trickling the faucets and haven't lost power.
That power loss broke a lot of pipes the last time, but we managed somehow.
Screwed up my washing machine, but I was able to repair it myself, in 2021.

21 here at the base of the Piney Woods and Big Thicket.

Got enough sleet yesterday, to half cover the ground.   Noticed the lights flickering mostly late last night.  No outages though.
Enough glaze to make enough black Ice, that I don't dare venture out this morning.  My wife's a Yankee, and I did enough winters up there, so we both are okay driving in it, but its the other citizens driving skills we fear.
