Al Gore Equates ‘Climate Deniers’ with Uvalde Law Enforcement Officers

Former Vice President Al Gore has equated those deemed guilty of climate “inaction” to the response of police officers in the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting tragedy.
A clip released to social media late Saturday night contains the allegation, due to be aired Sunday during a segment on NBC’s Meet the Press.
“Climate deniers are really in some ways similar to all of those almost 400 law enforcement officers in Uvalde, Texas, who were waiting outside an unlocked door while the children were being massacred,” he says.
Gore, a noted private-jet aficionado who travels the world lecturing on climate issues and previously linked global warming to the coronavirus pandemic, went on to tell NBC News’s Chuck Todd of the moral equivalence he sees: “They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots and nobody stepped forward.”

Ya just GOTTA love that photo of Goober "preparing to go on patrol",with EVERY item he is wearing being brand new,and he has EVERYTHING he needs but ammunition and magazines for his unloaded rifle,and other little things like grenades and claymore mines,machete/bush knife,etc,etc,etc.
I would be willing to be money there was nothing in that ruck sack other than a partially inflated air mattress.
I HAVE to think the people that were ordered to set up this photo op for him are responsible for him having no magazines or weapons of any kind,and they HAD to have been laughing their asses off after the photo op was finished.
And,of course,Goober being Goober,he didn't even realize that he was unarmed for his "John Wayne photo op".

Hard to tell from the photo,but it looks like the SF version of a "jungle fatigue jacket". Most were issued to the VN or "yard" indigenous people that units like Delta Force and A teams lead on patrols,but some were made in MUCH larger sizes to fit the American SF "advisors".
IIRC,we (SF) had them made on Okinawa at first,but the manufacturing might have been moved later in the war.
What IS odd about that photo is that NO conventional US unit was authorized to even HAVE "VN Jungle fatigues",never mind wear any of them.
And we all know for a fact that Goober NEVER went on even ONE patrol outside of camp,never mind went in with SF and indigenous troops on a patrol or raid.
I SUSPECT that someone purposely gave him that item of clothing to further prove it was a staged photo op. It just doesn't fit in with the pants or the bush hat he is wearing.
AFATG,conventional infantry units didn't even wear bush hats. Only SF and recon teams from conventional units wore them. Some were OD in color like the one in the photo,and some were the VN camouflage pattern like the shirts and pants.
Which is another clue this was a staged photo event because there was no way in HELL that goober was going to go out on a long range patrol looking for the enemy with only 5 people with him.
For those who don't know,the size of a standard recon team was 6 members. This is because that was all that would fit into a Huey once they had all their gear on.

Not to worry. The bodyguards that followed him everywhere he went were armed. His daddy insisted on that.
I don't know this to be a fact,but I would bet that he lived in a private hootch,with nobody else there but his bodyguards. Some of whom would be patrolling outside it every night to make sure it wasn't bombed.

They are jungle fatigue pants,and all of them were very baggy so you could carry things in the pockets. I have no idea what all the spots are on them unless it has something to do with a botched printing of the photos.

The reason for this was it was official government policy to transfer any service member in VN back to the US if he or she got wounded 3 times.

I'm not so sure it was the best choice in 2000. Ask yourself, have you ever heard Bush say a bad word about Obama or Biden? As far as I'm concerned Bush and Gore were just two sides of the same coin.
