That's what this whole things about ~ 'a very different perspective' @roamer_1

No doubt we, as a Society, as directed by our Forefathers, would not be capable of achieving this much progress in 250 years, as a Society, without the backbone 'Judeo-Christianity'.

I just don't have Your FAITH
But I'm willing to explore and question my current mindset, so to speak, by posting this very Thread.

It is not a matter of faith for me - That faith rests only in Messiah, and the sure promise that was given. Before the fact of that faith, it was all about proof. How does a god prove he is a god? According to YHWH, the gauntlet thrown down across all of history is that he would call his shots, but he'd call em all from the beginning. And they would all happen, just exactly as he says, or he is not God. And he claims, because of his exclusive nature, that he is the only one that can make that claim.

That is a mighty impressive claim, right there. And so far, he ain't missed a lick.
I have read about every prophecy from about every god ever, and believe me, none other can even begin to make that claim. Neither can any humanist.

So because I can prove it, I think my faith is not in vain.

I don't mind a different perspective, providing it's not butchering the text _ and the complexity of the text makes it pretty dang hard to butcher the text without the text calling you out later on.

My own perspective is well afield from most other Christians. But I can defend my use of the text very explicitly. I am not adding to, nor taking away, nor making shit up. That's the demand the text requires. And in that, explicitly *not* doing damage to Torah (the first 5 books). Torah says what it says and no one - not even someone from heaven can change that, or that person is not from Yah.

See, when faced with that sort of complexity it becomes dang hard to lay it out differently than its claim.
That's a pretty tall order.

Good detail on what it is like as a mercenary soldier fighting against Ukraine.

Even if Mr. Trump wins (50-50 at best)
and
Even if the Pubbies hold the House
and
Even if the Pubbies take the Senate...

...real progress will not be possible and WILL NOT HAPPEN unless the Senate Republicans take the bull by the horns and eliminate the filibuster.

Could not disagree more.  We don't need Congress to act.  We need to stop Congress from acting.  The only effective course of action is to block Congress from spending money.

Watch Biden as he answers the question.  He reads from notes verbatim that hold the answer to the question asked, looking directly at those notes for an extended period with zero candor.  It could not be more obvious.  Someone had already typed out the answer to the question and given it to him before the question was even asked.

Biden Implodes at Reporter During Embarrassing Presser, Reveals 'Deal' Around Questions

Nick Arama | 3:50 PM on May 23, 2024

Joe Biden and Kenyan President William Ruto made some remarks and held a press conference on Thursday afternoon. As often happens with Biden, the event was an hour late.

Their remarks were each about five minutes.  .  .  .

.  .  .  Then they took questions for about 15 minutes and, of course, Biden had his prepared list of people on whom to call.

https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1793699722751815730

But apparently the reporter crossed him up by saying he wanted to ask two questions. Biden snapped at him and said, "One." He probably only has one answer in his notes to read from and doesn't want to have to deal with anything else.

But the reporter asked a second one on the ICC move against Israel anyway. You can hear Ruto answering the first question here and then Biden referencing that second question at about 2;35, "You guys never keep the deal" and then he doesn't really answer it.

He's basically acknowledging there that they have a deal and this guy violated the deal by trying to slip in another question. He accidentally gave it all up because he couldn't control his own anger.

It did not go unnoticed as a White House producer with NHK observed.

Gosh I think we are on different tracks, my point is when has the Constitution or laws stopped the Obama(we know Joe's not making decisions) Biden administration from doing what they want, like the uncontrolled invasion at the border, like student loan forgiveness.

Lots of times.   One prominent example was when Obama tried to pass his Clean Power Plan, which was an attempt to implement parts of the Paris Agreements via administrative regulation and executive order rather than legislation.  The Supreme Court killed it.   Plenty of other Biden policies have been shot down by the courts, including some that are immigration related.

The student loan forgiveness issue is widely misunderstood legally.   The case that came before the Supreme Court was a mass forgiveness in the hundreds of billions, without any clear statutory authority.   That specific program was killed by SCOTUS and has not been revived.

What Biden has done since then are a couple of much smaller forgiveness programs justified under different statutes.  Those have not been declared unlawful yet, so no Supreme Court order is being defied.
