The Secret Service detail won't have any part of this idea...putting Pres. Trump in jail/detention.

Yeah, thinking the same thing.  Their job is to protect the President.  And that will prove impossible inside a jail.  I expect a real showdown with guns drawn -  Secret Service v. New York sheriffs.

I wonder what will happen if it's a hung Jury?

A hung jury is a win for Trump.  By the time they get around to setting up a new trial, Trump will already be in the White House, and the Supreme Court will toss it.

Gee, I don't know - they're just looking for a reason to cuff him and throw him in jail.  Trump is foolish to think otherwise.

I wonder what will happen if it's a hung Jury?

I would think that a new jury would be picked, and they'd retry the case? I doubt that the judge would dismiss the case -- which would be the best case scenario.
