The easiest way to defeat Joe Biden is to support a Conservative.  So clearly, defeating Joe Biden and his lawless administration is not very high on your priority list since you have put a lot of effort into defeating the contrary viewpoint.

Well since Trump doesn't want my vote, why should I vote for him?  This is going to be the first Presidential election that I'm not going to vote for a President.

Austin’s light rail program could be ‘toast’ due to an allegedly unconstitutional financing proposal.

Austin’s controversial light rail program, approved by voters in 2020, could be null and void due to an allegedly unconstitutional financing proposal.

According to press reports, during a court hearing, proponents of the transit scheme found themselves unable to defend the project’s ability to borrow money. Absent this authority, it is unlikely to continue.

At issue is the convoluted structure of the measure presented to voters in 2020. Designed to evade state limits on debt and borrowing (which seemed like a money laundering arrangement), the measure created a so-called “governmental corporation” called the Austin Transit Partnership. According to the 2020 proposal, the Austin Transit Partnership was supposed to be funded by a one-time increase to the city’s maintenance and operations property tax.

However, proponents of the project lowballed the cost estimate. Combined with Biden’s inflation, this has led to a situation where the Austin Transit Partnership now needs to borrow substantial sums.

Unfortunately for proponents, state law prohibits using maintenance and operations property tax dollars to pay debt for so-called ‘governmental corporations.’ While a second component of the property tax—interest and sinking—could be used to pay debt, that’s not what was approved in 2020.

Necessarily, the closer he moves toward Tumpy, the further he moves from me.

He'd do better to dance with the ones that brung him.

If he stays behind the scenes and just steers Trump to donors, I'm fine with that.  Or if he just trashes Biden.  But if he gets out there and starts saying how wonderful Trump is, then there's no chance I'd vote for him in the future.

Florida sheriff's office seizes largest amount of fentanyl in county history, two illegals arrested

Two of the four individuals arrested were in the country illegally.

With one operation, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida disrupted a Mexican drug trafficking organization operating in several states. In the process, deputies seized the largest amount of fentanyl in county history at 14 kilograms, or 30.86 pounds – enough to kill one-third of the state’s population.

Two of the four individuals arrested were in the country illegally, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.

“Fentanyl is the drug that is coming from Mexico through an open border … and it’s killing people all over the United States," Judd said at a news conference. “It seems like every time I talk about a fentanyl operation, I'm saying it's the largest fentanyl seizure in the state of Florida. Once again, that's what I'm saying. The seizure of 14 kilos of fentanyl is the single largest seizure in the history of Polk County.”

The two criminal aliens they arrested, Judd said, “didn’t come here to better themselves and their family. They came here illegally to kill people in America with a deadly drug through a porous border that we need to seal off.”

Every time we breathe, we put CO2 into the atmosphere.

And it is that fact which points more directly to the WEF's ultimate objective.

Jamaal Bowman ‘Fully’ in Favor of Resettling Gaza Migrants in U.S.

by ELIZABETH WEIBEL 29 Apr 2024

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) expressed his full “support” for the United States to “bring in” Palestinian refugees from Gaza.

During an interview with a reporter from Yonkers Voice, Bowman said the U.S. is a “land of immigrants” and “asylum seekers” that has always opened its “doors to immigrants,” saying, “ fully support that,” in response to a question regarding the U.S. opening its doors to migrants from Gaza.

“Should the United States bring in people from Gaza?” the reporter asked Bowman.

“We are a land of migrants, and we are a land of asylum seekers — anyone escaping persecution and oppression and violence — the United States has always been an open home to those people,” Bowman answered:

So, whether they’re coming from Palestine, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico, [or] Haiti, they’re coming here to contribute to our economy, which 99.9 percent of them are. We’ve always been a place to open our doors to immigrants coming here, so, yeah, fully support that.

I posted this on another thread, but I will mention it here as well.

Is it possible that Trump met with DeSantis this week because he sees that he might get convicted in NYC and if that happens he will offer the nomination to RDS in exchange for a pardon?

Trump ain’t that kinda guy, IMO.

Biden Looks to use Parole-in-Place to Grant Backdoor Amnesty to More than a Million Illegal Aliens

FAIR Take | April 2024

While the Biden Administration faces intense backlash for its self-created border crisis, it is doubling down and considering a mass amnesty for those on U.S. soil.  This time, the administration is reportedly zeroing in on the illegal alien spouses of U.S. citizens. The tool of choice is rumored to be another unlawful use of parole termed “parole-in-place,” an invented concept that has little to no statutory basis. Roughly 1.1 million aliens may be covered under the latest proposal.

Parole-in-place is yet another abuse of the limited parole authority provided under Section 212(d)(5) of the INA.  That section authorizes the government to grant parole (i.e. allow entry) to aliens who otherwise are inadmissible for temporary periods of time, on a case-by-case basis, for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.

Despite being intended for use in extraordinary circumstances – such as testifying in a trial or obtaining emergency medical care – the Biden Administration has distorted the statute beyond recognition.  First, the administration used parole to affect the mass release of aliens apprehended at the border.  Then the administration used parole to fly in hundreds of thousands of inadmissible aliens and allow them to remain indefinitely.  Now, the Biden administration is using parole-in-place to provide relief to aliens already inside the country.

Parole-in-place first surfaced in a 1998 memorandum under the Clinton Administration, which incredibly concludes that that since the law provides that aliens present in the U.S. without having been admitted or paroled are now considered “applicants for admission” they may be granted parole the same as arriving aliens.  In 2013, the Obama Administration released additional guidance aiming to offer parole-in-place to spouses, children and parents of U.S. Armed Services members.  Then, rather than curtailing this abuse of the statute, Congress included it in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020, directing the DHS Secretary to consider granting parole-in-place to military families.
