The farmers were told to stop because they were not a licensed vet .

Running a damn fish-finder is not veterinary medicine.
It's a non-invasive, non-medical procedure.

They continued so they got sent to jail.

According to them, they were unaware. According to them they had no notice, no appearance before a judge, no agent or officer to inform them. Just a LEO showing up to shove them in jail.

As someone else mentioned if they do not like it change the law. As I mentioned we need to protect our food supply and animal husbandry business for obvious reasons and cannot allow the industry to lower its health standards because that will lead to a slippery post.

Total bullcrap. It is doing nothing to 'protect our food' to run a fish finder to see if a cow is pregnant.

I'm not doubting that conservatism as an ideology is dying. It's morphed into a orange goo of "spend us dry republicanism"

That is evident in seeing younger legislators having no interest in fiscal responsibility.  Or...  like in the case of Gabbard, having her acceptable to those who are even remotely right of center.    For us dinosaurs who are about to be extinct, at least we can go down dying yelling and screaming.

Don't say we didn't warn you in the end, when the fiscal cliff is reached.

LOL!  A day late and a trillion dollars short.  You're still carrying the sandwich script board at the drop-off while I've been picking through the mangled wreckage in the gorge for years.

Furthermore, I vividly recall the wonderful welcome @banddag received when he first showed up here a couple of months ago.  Everyone tripped over themselves besting other salutations.

THEN...I saw how he'd been savaged on multiple threads, where the category mod never stepped in once as he was called a "f**King moron"...an "Idiot" by "he, who has worn multiple identities here; proving once again that indeed, "some animals are more equal than others".

So...he's welcomed graciously...and after a week the same crew goes after him like pit bulls...excuse me, rabid Chihuahuas.  All because he won't bend to the mainstream around here.

Applaud his patience and virtue.

I appreciate this post, @DCPatriotgoopo

They don't need a new policy, just make sure they meet the requirements.

Army issues new policy after study finds out half of the non-commissioned officers never met the requirements to be promoted
May 3, 2024

By Army News Service

WASHINGTON — Beginning in June, the Army is suspending a requirement for Soldiers to complete a previously required level of professional military education, or PME, to qualify for promotion to noncommissioned officer, or NCO, ranks up through master sergeant.

With this announcement, the Army will no longer use temporary promotions for NCO promotions and all previously issued temporary promotions for NCOs will become permanent. This is being done to help relieve excessive strain on the force and to meet readiness requirements.

Army personnel originally created the temporary promotion policy to help accommodate pregnant Soldiers and troops in postpartum. Over time, the application of temporary promotions was extended to support deployed Soldiers on unit missions, during the pandemic when travel and training were suspended, and then further expanded during the transition from promotion selection boards to the NCO evaluation board process. In January 2022 it has been applicable for all NCO promotions from sergeant through master sergeant.

Don't know Al Bundy.

I think the quote was, "Don't try to understand women.  Women understand women, and they hate them."

Elections 2024 / Re: REPORT: Trump’s VP List Is Down To 4 Options

Victory in November against Biden requires everyone's help @libertybele  --- including yours.

Hey, we tried.  With DeSantis as the nominee, it would already be a slam dunk.  But instead, we get a super-energized Democrat Party showing up on election day to defeat Trump.  And a corrupt election system that was completely ignored by the last GOP President.

But you knew that already.  You continue to stand behind the one candidate that is the only 'Republican' in the race who already lost to Biden and whose negatives continue to exceed his positives.

A Kaiser Permanente "Ultrasound Tech" is the one who DISCOVERED the tumors inside my bladder, @Hoodat

She may not have "diagnosed" it, but she as hell knew what she was looking at.

In FACT, the tech performing the ultrasound was chastised by her co-worker [...]

You're making the point. The tech looked at the fish-finder and knew what he was looking at. The only reason for the obfuscation is so that the doctor can continue to make thousands of dollars an hour.

For these guys to be imprisoned for looking at the fish-finder to diagnose whether the cow is pregnant or not is the same thing - They are probably stepping on the vets who make bank on bloodwork.

The law is bullshit in the first place. Not to mention being incarcerated without a trial and without representation.

At least if they want the electoral votes from that state.

That is 100% correct, and I cannot imagine even Trump being so bold as to piss away such a large state.

You are a troll. Calling someone a troll doesn't impugn one's intelligence. Trolls can be wickedly smart. You repeatedly make a claim, and then when pointed out why that claim is incorrect you move the goalposts continuing on as if that was the original point, which it wasn't. This thread is an example. It is about ranchers and farmers using ultrasound on cattle which is noninvasive and doesn't harm the animal in anyway and you change it to people being treated which it was never about. You trolled the thread.

The farmers were told to stop because they were not a licensed vet . They continued so they got sent to jail. As someone else mentioned if they do not like it change the law. As I mentioned we need to protect our food supply and animal husbandry business for obvious reasons and cannot allow the industry to lower its health standards because that will lead to a slippery post.
