Opposition Leader Threatens To Topple Israeli Govt If Hostage Release Deal Rejected

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government "will not have the right to continue to exist" if it rejects a prisoner exchange and ceasefire deal with Hamas, war cabinet minister Benny Gantz said on Sunday.

"Entering Rafah is important in the long struggle against Hamas. The return of our abductees, abandoned by the Oct.7 government, is urgent and of far greater importance," he wrote on X.

Oh no.  Please don’t be the VP.

Not a chance.

Good.  Competition is good for politics.  Let the best ideas and best candidates win.

I like how he shrugged it off, as if that's just something you do up north.

Seems unwise to put a right-wing political sticker on your car.  Democrats have a sizable criminal element, and generally have no respect for property rights.

I am an independent conservative. Sorry if I don't panic over all the rw doom and gloom and misinformation spread on every internet site.

No self proclaimed conservative would buy into the climate change scam, the way you have.

Try another angle or prove me wrong.  I've gone 30 years on the subject without anyone doing it.

Good.  Competition is what GOP needs - survival of the fittest; not survival of the ordained.

Democrats running in every Florida House race for first time since 2018

.

Florida Democrats will have a candidate running for their party in every one of the 28 state House districts for the first time since 2018, the Florida Democratic Party announced.

Last Friday was the state’s election filing deadline, and the Florida Democratic Party made a conscious effort this election cycle to recruit Democrats to run for every seat in the Republican-dominated state.

“Florida Democrats just filed to compete for every congressional seat,” Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Nikki Fried said. “It does not matter if we’re running in Pensacola or Key West, every part of this state is worth fighting for and we are not going to let Florida Republicans walk into office without being held accountable. Florida Democrats are fired up and ready to compete everywhere.”

The GOP holds 20 out of the state’s 28 House seats, and 19 of those seats are rated “solid Republican” by the Cook Political Report. Only three seats in the state are listed as competitive by the Cook Political Report.

But Democrats have candidates trying in every district, even in districts that have popular Republican incumbents.

Gaetz gets last-minute Florida GOP primary challenger in boost to McCarthy allies

.

Former California Rep. Kevin McCarthy has a chance for revenge against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) in the form of a GOP primary challenger in the 2024 election.

Former naval officer and aviator Aaron Dimmock filed his paperwork on Friday, the deadline, to run against Gaetz, who led a coalition of seven other House GOP members to join all Democrats in ousting McCarthy last fall. Dimmock is the director of leadership programs at the University of West Florida’s Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz Center for Leadership.

Dimmock’s entry is a win for McCarthy and his allies, who have long criticized Gaetz for the former speaker’s removal as being personally motivated. Gaetz had accused McCarthy of making a “back deal” with Democrats to pass a continuing resolution, but the former speaker alleged the reason was due to an ethics investigation into the Florida congressman.

McCarthy recently blamed the months of GOP infighting and a “broken” conference on Gaetz.

“I think they’re in disarray, but it stems from those eight [Republicans] working with all the Democrats,” McCarthy said in a MediaBuzz interview. “The conference is broken because they never dealt with those eight, and until they do, it would stay broken.”

“What Matt Gaetz did has broken the Republican majority. He’s now created Lord of the Flies. Ask anybody inside our conference. They actually know it,” the former speaker said.

This really shows how comfortable leftists are committing crimes against people deemed not worth protecting by the Democrats. He seems genuinely puzzled that this is even happening!
