BLM Activists Demand Investigation Following Co-Founder's Multimillion Dollar Real Estate Buying Spree

A top Black Lives Matter activist called for an “independent investigation†into the group’s finances following a report that the group’s co-founder is in the midst of a multimillion-dollar real estate buying spree.
BLM Global Network Foundation co-founder and executive director Patrisse Khan-Cullors, a self-proclaimed “trained Marxist,†has purchased four homes across the U.S. since 2016 for a total of $3.2 million, according to the New York Post.
Khan-Cullors latest acquisition came on March 30 when she purchased a $1.4 million home in Los Angeles in the majority-white Topanga Canyon neighborhood. She purchased the home through a corporate entity under her control, according to Dirt, a celebrity real estate blog.
“If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes,†Black Lives Matter Greater New York City leader Hank Newsome told the Post. “It’s really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement and overlook the fact that it’s the people that carry this movement.â€
Newsome told the Post that “black firms and black accountants†need to audit BLM Global Network Foundation’s finances and “find out where the money is going.â€
Khan-Cullors owns a total of three homes in the Los Angeles area, according to the Post.

Mystery of how BLM co-founder could afford millions for 4 houses only beginning to be solved as documents surface

Kudos to Andrew Kerr of the Daily Caller News Foundation for digging up documents filed with the state of California that reveal some of the big bucks that Patrisse Cullors, AKA Patrisse Khan Cullors, has raked in to help pay for her amazing real estate buying binge. So far, she and her partner, Janaya Khan, have reportedly laid out $3.2 million for four properties across the United States, including a hideaway in lily-white Topanga Canyon, suitable for watching rioters burn urban neighborhoods in complete safety.
Other black activists have been outraged and calling for investigations into where the $90 million reportedly raised by the Black Lives Matter Foundation has gone.
Hawk Newsome, the head of Black Lives Matter Greater New York City, which is not affiliated with Khan-Cullors' Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, called for "an independent investigation" to find out how the global network spends its money.
"If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes," he said. "It's really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement and overlook the fact that it's the people that carry this movement."
But the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation claims to have paid her only a tiny fraction of that amount:
Patrisse has received a total of $120,000 since the organization's inception in 2013, for duties such as serving as spokesperson and engaging in political education work. Patrisse did not receive any compensation after 2019.

LOS ANGELES, CA—BLM co-founder and "trained Marxist" Patrisse Cullors has called for defunding the police in response to police shootings. She later clarified, however, that she only supports abolishing police in all the areas where she doesn't live.
"The police in my wealthy white area of LA can stay," she said. "And the ones around my home in Atlanta. Also, the ones who protect my other home in Albany. I think I have a fourth house too, but I can't remember where it is. Wherever it is, the police there can stick around as well."
