Saving Hamas
The Palestinian terror organization refuses to release hostages while clinging to its last stronghold in Rafah. So why is the Biden administration throwing the full weight of the U.S. government at Israel to prevent it from routing Hamas?

Reports are circulating that the Israelis are planning an operation in Rafah to eliminate the last Hamas stronghold in Gaza. If so, the Netanyahu government will be acting against the very public wishes of the Biden administration, which has spent the last half year moving heaven and earth to save a terrorist organization from destruction. Bizarrely, the White House’s statements and actions show that Hamas’ survival is more important than the security of a traditional American partner, Israel; more crucial to American interests than the preservation of the U.S.-led order of the Middle East; more precious than the dozens of American lives that Hamas ended on Oct. 7; more valuable than however many Americans and Israelis are still alive in the terror army’s tunnels.

Why? As the money and prestige that the U.S. has invested month after month in protecting Hamas demonstrate, the Biden administration sees the terror group as a valuable asset.

A day after the massacre, before Israel’s campaign against Hamas even began, Secretary of State Antony Blinken wrote that he was encouraging the Turkish government’s “advocacy for a cease-fire.” It makes no difference that the tweet has since been deleted, since the White House has produced no shortage of evidence since that its top priority is to deter Israel from defeating Hamas, by increasing Israel’s vulnerabilities at every turn, and conditioning aid on Israel adopting a purely defensive posture.  ...

To fight the mythical famine, Biden is sending thousands of U.S. troops to build a $320 million pier to resupply Hamas—an arrangement that will turn American forces into human shields to deter Israeli military operations against the terror organization.  ...

The key fact is this: The regional order that Trump restored has long been part of the formula that ensures continued U.S. domestic peace and prosperity. To put it another way, the moves made by Obama and now Biden are not primarily about destabilizing the Middle East. Rather, they are designed to destabilize the United States. ...

Israel's defeat is necessary to ensure that Obama's fundamental transformation of America will never be undone. If Israel wins, then so does the America Obama and his cronies seek to destroy.

Colorado county ordinance would prevent taxpayer funds to assist illegal immigrants

The ordinance will prohibit the appropriation of funds for the purchasing property for providing “emergency sheltering of illegal aliens.”

Weld County commissioners gave their initial approval for an ordinance preventing taxpayer funds to assist illegal immigrants, a move they say is "aimed at countering misinformation."

In a 5-0 vote, the commissioners repealed and reenacted an ordinance regarding general and special funds. Two other public readings of the ordinance must take place before the board formally votes to adopt the change.

Kevin Ross, chairman of the commissioners, said the ordinance was necessary to provide transparency on county expenditures.

Sanctuary City of Chicago Arrests Over 1K Illegals from Venezuela In First Three Months of 2024

By Margaret Flavin
May. 1, 2024 4:00 pm

Police in the Democrat-run sanctuary city of Chicago have reportedly made more than 1,000 arrests of illegal Venezuelan nationals in the first three months of 2024.

With the new numbers, the analysis has shifted from the prior argument that illegals commit less crime to one where they commit “less violent felonies.”

An analysis of the arrest data by The Chicago Tribune, in an article pushing the new narrative titled, “Migrant arrests are up, but they’re rarely accused of violent felonies,” tracks the increase.

According to the analysis, there were 609 arrests for driving/traffic offenses, nine violent felonies, 75 violent misdemeanors, and 313 other offenses listed as non-violent, with nine others listed as unknown or not listed.

The data does not include arrests of juveniles or anyone arrested by another agency.

I generally don't listen to what Charlie Kirk says, but he's right:

In response to campus anti-Israel protests, the House is rushing to to vote on a new bill, HR 6090. This new bill would officially define "Antisemitism" so the federal government can sue, prosecute, or sanction more people, businesses, and universities for supposed violations of civil rights law.

I abhor antisemitism, but this bill is flagrantly unconstitutional and an appalling attack on the First Amendment.

This bill would make it illegal to compare Israeli policies to Nazi policies. It would make it illegal to describe Israel as racist. It would make it illegal to accuse an American citizen of being more loyal to Israel than to the United States.

All of those behaviors might be stupid or repugnant, but they are indisputably protected by the First Amendment. Yet now, Congressional Republicans are rushing to gut the First Amendment in order to pass a Europe-style ban on supposed "hate speech."

Rioters should be arrested. Unhinged Israel-hating students who take over buildings and refuse to leave should be expelled.

But I stand with @RepThomasMassie: This bill is an affront to the Constitution and must not pass.

The bill purports to criminalize your belief that it was, in fact, the Jewish religious leaders who devised the plot to hand Jesus Christ over to the Romans to be executed, as described in Matthew 26:3-5, for example: Then the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, named Caiaphas; and they plotted together to seize Jesus by stealth, and kill Him. But they were saying, "Not during the festival, lest a riot occur among the people."

Or Mark 14:1-2: Now the Passover and Unleavened Bread was two days off; and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to seize Him by stealth, and kill Him; for they were saying, "Not during the festival, lest there be a riot of the people."

Or the rest of the New Testament, for that matter. Don't dare read those passages aloud, or Congress will charge you with antisemitism.

Barring some kind of abrupt course adjustment, we're about to lose our nation.
About to lose our nation ...
Some would say we have already lost our nation.
America today, especially in the cities and in our legal system, is utterly unrecognizable from four years ago.
America in so many ways, since Obiden, is now teetering on the verge of Third World status.
