Protesters gather outside McConnell's Kentucky home, one calls for his stabbing 'in the heart'

A group of protesters supporting gun control gathered outside the home of Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. where one expressed that someone should "stab the motherf---er in the heart."
The protest took place on Sunday night in the wake of mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. McConnell is currently recovering from a fall he had over the weekend, leaving him with a fractured shoulder.
Approximately 25 demonstrators stood on the sidewalk near McConnell's Louisville home, shouting "No Trump, no KKK, no Fascist USA!" while others called him names like "Murder Turtle" and made loud noises by banging objects and dragging a shovel back and forth on the ground as a group of security personnel stood between the protestors and the home, WLKY reported.

Louisville Metro Police told the New York Post that the demonstrators were "protesting peacefully." The force added that they "are assisting Capitol Police."

The “emergency protest†— as the demonstrators described it — took place Sunday night while McConnell, 77, was reportedly home recovering from a broken shoulder after a fall he suffered. About 20 to 30 people attended.
Louisville Metro Police confirmed that the group was outside the senator’s residence, telling The Post they were “protesting peacefully.â€
“We are assisting Capitol Police,†a spokesman said.
The department was unaware, however, of the threats being made on the 2-hour FB Live video.
In one clip — taken from the footage and posted online by Capitol Hill communications director Ben Goldey — a woman can be heard talking about stabbing McConnell in his heart. Protesters can be seen holding signs saying, “F–K YOU MURDER TURTLE!â€
“Hopefully there’s somebody out there with some voodoo dolls of these bitches,†a man says, to which the woman replies: “Just stab the motherf–ker in the heart, please.â€
“We’re out here because [McConnell] wants thoughts and prayers, when another white man massacres people,†the protester later adds.
At one point, she gets upset and begins shouting at the Capitol Police — along with several others.
“You can protect his ass,†the woman says. “Maybe I do wanna go to jail.â€
The footage was posted on the FB page of Channelle Helm, a local Louisville resident who regularly posts about politics and gun control. The woman used the app to “check in†at McConnell’s house on Monday night.

I'm truly embarrassed for my adopted home state this morning.
Once again the people of Louisville are talking the low road. It's as predictable as it is sad.

This IS the mentality of the left...and red flag laws are going to stop that mentality? It's ok for liberals to make comments and threats, but if you are conservative and lawfully own a weapon you are seen as the bad guy.
We have a sitting Senator that just had surgery because of his liberal fringed neighbor.
Giving up rights under the second amendment is NOT the answer. That IS not going to change the liberal mentality. We need to be able to protect ourselves against such mentality otherwise those same people are going to make false accusations to ensure that we cannot protect ourselves.
Wake up. The liberals are protesting and making threats which has been going on since Hillary lost. If it were conservatives, we would be 'judged' far differently. Yet, here we sit, idle, quiet and now agreeing to give up our rights to the very people that are causing the chaos!!

Very well could be. I believe that this has been the intent of the liberals for quite sometime. So ... who wants to give up their weapons? We have a President who many have given him a pass on everything that he does, who now says he supports red flag laws! So...what difference will it make if he loses?? He just offered up rights under the 2A just like any DEM running.
