Nearly three dozen House Democrats on Monday called on Biden to relinquish his sole authority to launch nuclear weapons, in the latest appeal to reform the command-and-control structure so that no single person can initiate a nuclear war.

“...Vesting one person with this authority entails real risks,” states the letter spearheaded by Rep. Jimmy Panetta of California. “Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or exhibited behavior that caused other officials to express concern about the president’s judgment.“

“While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so,” the letter adds. “The military is obligated to carry out the order if they assess it is legal under the laws of war. Under the current posture of U.S. nuclear forces, that attack would happen in minutes.”

They offer a number of alternatives, including requiring other officials in the line of succession, such as the vice president and the speaker of the House — “neither of whom can be removed by the president if they disagree — to concur with a launch order.”

The few remaining 'sane' Democrats are scared to death of crazy Joe Biden...and Kamala as far as that goes.

Letting another set of hands in addition to Mario Kart Joe's hands on the nuke button is a good thing.  They just need him to step down.

Trump swam with sharks his entire life.
Kamala is sheltered and very politically inexperienced, especially in international affairs.
When she starts dealing with the PhDs in Russia/China/India/Japan, these guys are no joke.
And they have been dealing with international treaties and agreements for decades.
They are going to eat Kamala and the Democrats alive.
It is like hiring a girl scout to run the Armed Forces and the State Department.

Note, the democrats don't trust American leaders with nukes, even one of their own, but how glad they are to aid jihidist Middle East to have nukes and Communist nations like North Korean to threaten us with nukes.  Are people still confused as to which side democrats are really on?  Yes,hitlery greatly advanced Russias nuclear capabilities as well.
