There's a reason Mel "mad max" came to the US, and it wasn't because of his affable Aussie personality.

They're also moving in the right direction in regard to governmental stability, the same way Canada is headed. They still have a "universal health care" system but let's be frank, the U.S. is pretty much the last holdout on that front and that's why we're stuck subsidizing the rest of the world's health care.

Our Commonwealth friends have shown a willingness, in most other departments, to consider conservatism. As the U.S. continues to be overrun by third-world socialist sympathizers, places like Canada and Australia will become more attractive for American commoners.

Even so, viz. the universal health care system, I have a really good friend from undergrad who emigrated there about 18 years ago.  She and her husband (an Aussie) recently told me that their system is showing some serious signs of stress.
