Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16

How Did we miss this one???????? :crying:

<snip>Mike Pinder, original keyboardist for The Moody Blues in both their original mid-1960s configuration as a pop/blues outfit and their better-known late-1960s/early-1970s gentle progressive rock quintet entity, died in his Northern California home on April 25, 2024, from an as-yet unstated cause. Pinder was 82.

This is the man that did more to revolutionalize keyboard in rock than anyone else.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

PGA TOUR winner Grayson Murray passes away at 30

Quote

Grayson Murray, who won his second PGA TOUR title at this year’s Sony Open in Hawaii, passed away Saturday.

"We were devastated to learn – and are heartbroken to share – that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,” PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan said. “The PGA TOUR is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones.

“I reached out to Grayson’s parents to offer our deepest condolences, and during that conversation, they asked that we continue with tournament play,” Commissioner Monahan continued. “They were adamant that Grayson would want us to do so. As difficult as it will be, we want to respect their wishes.”

PGA TOUR winner Grayson Murray passes away at 30
This is an odd situation. Initial reports were quick to remind us that he had experienced problems with depression and alcohol abuse, but then the guys playing golf with him this week (he withdrew with two holes left in the second round of the current tournament) said he was upbeat, optimistic, and doing great.

Now his parents have said it was suicide.

... On Sunday, May 26, his parents – Eric and Terry Murray – revealed their son's cause of death in an emotional statement released on social media.

"Life wasn't always easy for Grayson, and although he took his own life, we know he rests peacefully now," the statement shared by the PGA Tour read. ... Murray, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour who battled alcohol issues and depression, played the first round and part of the second round in this week's Charles Schwab Challenge, but withdrew from the event after 16 holes. ...

Sounds like bipolar rather than depression only. Or maybe he was good at acting, up to a limit.

When someone commits to ending their life, they finally see an end to their suffering in sight. That's why they're (sometimes) happy.

And the only reason anyone's raising doubt is because the usual ghouls latch on to anyone who dies under 60 as a cause for "it was the jab." Even though Murray was on record as having not taken "the jab." Will we still be playing this game 20 years from now?

I've all but bitten my tongue through, refraining from commenting on opportunistic Died Suddenly Ghouls who jump on every cardiac death or death without the cause being made public. It's like they believe Bogey-Moderna has hit squads out hunting down people who are under age 70, and Bogey-Pfizer invented heart attacks.

Bill Walton dies at 71

Walton, despite a basketball career plagued with injuries, consistently won at every level he played, including California state championships in high school, the 1972 and 1973 national championships with UCLA, and two NBA titles in Portland and Boston. A stutterer in his youth, he "learned how to speak" in his late 20s—and never stopped, becoming a frequent commentator on NBA games—as Walton himself described it, "everybody else's biggest nightmare."

Walton died May 28 following a long bout with cancer.

Richard M. Sherman, who co-wrote 'It's a Small World' and memorable songs for 'Mary Poppins,' dies at 95

Quote

Richard M. Sherman, one half of the prolific, award-winning pair of brothers who helped form millions of childhoods by penning the instantly memorable songs for “Mary Poppins,” “The Jungle Book” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” — as well as the most-played tune on Earth, “It’s a Small World (After All)” — has died. He was 95.

The Walt Disney Co. announced that Sherman died Saturday due to age-related illness.

“Generations of moviegoers and theme park guests have been introduced to the world of Disney through the Sherman brothers’ magnificent and timeless songs. Even today, the duo’s work remains the quintessential lyrical voice of Walt Disney,” the company said in a remembrance posted on its website.

Sherman, together with his late brother Robert, won two Academy Awards for Walt Disney’s 1964 smash “Mary Poppins” — best score and best song, “Chim Chim Cher-ee.” They also picked up a Grammy for best movie or TV score. Robert Sherman died in London at age 86 in 2012.

Did you know hall of fame basketball player Bill Walton had an older brother Bruce Walton, who was an offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys?  Both Walton brothers attended UCLA to play different sports. The 6'6, 251 pound Bruce Walton was a 5th round draft pick by the Cowboys in 1973. He was primarily a backup left tackle playing behind future hall of famer Rayfield Wright. Bruce Walton played 3 seasons with the Cowboys from 1973-1975. His final game was Super Bowl X , a 21-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Orange Bowl. Knee injuries ultimately ended his career in 1976. Bruce Walton passed away on October 18, 2019 at the age of 68. Bill Walton passed away today at age 71.
Fun Fact: The Waltons are the only brother combination in the history of professional sports to play in the NBA Finals and Super Bowl.
