Dirty little secret’ of gov’t spending exposed
« on: February 04, 2025, 02:38:09 pm »
American Military News by Timothy Frudd 2/3/2025

Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk exposed the “dirty little secret” about the federal government’s spending after the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) discovered that officials at the U.S. Department of the Treasury were “instructed always to approve payments,” even if the payments were made to “fraudulent or terrorist groups.”

In a Saturday post on X, formerly Twitter, Musk wrote, “The @DOGE team discovered, among other things, that payment approval officers at Treasury were instructed always to approve payments, even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups. They literally never denied a payment in their entire career. Not even once.”

Musk also shared a post by Robby Starbuck, who tweeted, “The highest ranking Treasury official, David A Lebryk, is resigning rather than complying with a request by @DOGE for access to audit where they’ve spent trillions of dollars a year. Why would career bureaucrats fear an audit by @elonmusk and @doge to see where we can save money?”

Well, either payment approval officers can all be fired, or they should be given standards on the basis of which to refuse payments and made to actually earn their pay.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

I have read that there's not a single order for a payment ...for any reason whatsoever...that was ever rejected....going back years.

Once the Dem-authored appropriation becomes law, the money has already left the building.

For the US Treasury Dept to not disburse funds, Congress needs to give less funds to disburse.

To kill a cancer cell, you deprive it of blood supply; to stop the cancer of Federal overspending you need to deprive it of appropriations.  House of Reps., that means you!

Revenue is irrelevant because they'll just keep borrowing and printing money to infinity and beyond.

Looking at how Treasury is disbursing money will definitely result in indictments.  Of this, I am certain.  I am 100% certain the corruption is beyond comprehension.

One of the things said the other day in the news was that Congress only passes about 5% of all new laws, that the bureaucrats make decisions and impose 95% of all laws and regulations we are forced to live by.  I think the time has come that NOTHING becomes law or a regulation without Congress review and voting for it, that NOTHING is placed into law or as a regulation by the bureaucrats.  Time to put Congress to work too!!!  And end the power of the bureaucrats!!!!

The Treasury Department not denying a single payment reminds me of the Home Title Lock commercials, where they talk about county folks are not permitted to question documents coming into their offices they know are being presented by folks attempting to steal someone's property.  Those ads irk me to no end.

And the FBI is doing what?  Chasing parents at school board meetings.  Ugggh!

Anyone committing a crime should be stopped period, by everyone in the process.  PERIOD!!!

Bondi needs to be confirmed ASAP. That will add major teeth to all this.

Hopefully the case file folders are piling up on her future desk.

@stillgray
After DOGE is done with USAID, the IRS, and the Department of Education, they should take a look at the Department of Labor where countless billions are going towards themselves.

Yes, good to see. If the left was panicking before, I have a feeling she'll send them into a real tizzy.

Don't know how it applies to FedGov, but when I worked in the financial industry, you were bound by fiduciary responsibility. It had strict parameters of behavior and if there was a whiff of suborning fraud or money laundering you could do serious jail time. And of course the Treasury hasn't ever been audited so it's all kept under the rug.
