Kinzinger to House Dems: ‘Get out there and do something’ about Musk
by Tara Suter - 02/03/25 12:22 PM ET

Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) on Monday told House Democrats to “get out there and do something” about tech billionaire Elon Musk after employees at the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) headquarters in Washington were told to work from home.

“All these agencies where employees are being locked out of, how about you send members of Congress with those employees to walk them into work, or just send members [of] Congress to go into the building and investigate what these people are doing, dare them to stop you because they can’t,” Kinzinger said in a video posted on the social platform X.

“Okay, that’s a free idea,” he added. “Why is it that the former Republicans are the ones that are coming up with all the ideas? Get out there and do something, you’re in the minority. Your message is your weapon. Use your message. Quit staying at home.”

Late last week, senior USAID officials were put on administrative leave after they refused to hand over classified material to Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“Dear Democratic Leaders: here’s a free idea, send members of congress into the buildings where Elons people are and see what they’re doing,” Kinzinger also captioned his Monday X post.

Kinzinger, who was one of 10 House Republicans to vote to impeach President Trump for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot and was one of two Republicans who served on the committee investigating that day, decided not to run for reelection to a seventh term in 2022.

A source also told The Hill that a top Treasury Department nonpolitical career official, David Lebryk, retired at the end of last week following him butting heads with Musk on government payment systems.

Lebryk’s retirement came in the wake of a clash over a request from DOGE for access to a payment system used by Treasury officials to disburse funds.

The Hill has reached out to the White House, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) and the House Democratic Caucus for comment on Kinzinger’s remarks.

Only the intelligence agencies can thwart Elon now.  Getting Tulsi and Kash confirmed is a high priority

Lebryk stopped being a career official the moment he took the helm of Treasury as 'acting Secretary'.

Over/under of USAID slushed money going as payola to Kinzinger/Cheney for their bipartisanship support for Trump prosecution/ impeachment

He's kind of animated for a private citizen looking in, I'd say.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
A lot of money trails and gravy train tracks seem to lead out of these agencies...FOllow the money.

Just don't cry about it, Kinz.

Why is "abbreviation" such a long word?

Dems will write sternly worded fundraiding E-mails, and will panhandle billionaire donors..  They won't do any hard work; they depend on the illegal aliens and the deplorables to do the heavy lifting to 'save democracy'.

The bottom line appears to be that Democrats just love wasting your money and my money, and don't dare stand in the way of that waste!

After taking a historically awful L in November, the left has decided to rebound by making their galvanizing issue... *checks notes*... that the Trump admin wants to examine how government agencies spend taxpayer money and determine if it's in the best interest of America.

Kinzinger was Pelosi's cuck.  Plain and simple.

kind of sounds like USAID became the new Congressional post office as far as their slush fund as well as funding many anti American and immoral activities around the world. I read a comment somewhere that USAID should be audited and shut down, I think the opposite, shut the damn thing down and then audit it.

I doubt it’s possible for Kinzinger to hold back the water works, he’s a little bitch. Always remember though, if he invites you to go shooting, just say NO!
