Same here. I lost interest in that joke of sport in the '80's. It's now just a glorified playground endeavor.
OTOH, I think we both can get a sense of enjoyment at any suffering of Mark Cuban.
The advent and worship of Dennis Rodman and the thug life in the 1990s did it for me. I like to watch the NBA in the 1980s when Dr. J, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Robert Parrish, Isaiah Thomas, Dominique Wilkins, etc. played and brought some class and sportsmanship to the game. But Rodman and the succeeding tattoo'd up thugs who came afterward made it unwatchable.
