Emergency crews are on the scene in Victoria, Texas, after a small plane crashed into three vehicles at a busy intersection. Video footage shows the plane making an emergency landing as nearby drivers tried to move out of the way to avoid the descending aircraft. The incident occurred near the intersection, but no injuries have been confirmed at this time and Investigators are working to determine the cause of the emergency landing this is still developing

I saw the on the news before going to work this morning. Miracle that they all lived.
(I am southwest of Houston, about 90 miles northeast of Victoria.)

Half the miracle is how that plane crashed without a fire.  Maybe it ran out of fuel, and that's why.   :shrug:

Surprisingly enough, less than 20% of aircraft accidents involve fire. Usually when it does, it is after the plane has crashed, and when it does, it accounts for many of the fatalities (in addition to trauma from the crash).

But it's a bit like Pintos blowing up when rear ended. The ones that did made the news. The crashes everyone walked away from (no fire), not so much.
