Admitted, I was one of those before his 1st term.
I voted 3rd party (no, NOT Hillary!).
He, quite happily, proved me wrong, and did a fine job.
Voted for him in 2020 and again 2024.

The tariff deal bugged me the 1st time I heard it in 2016.
Now, with the wisdom of hindsight, I see that the threat of tariffs has countries that impose them on us back down and loosen or remove them.

Seems like we "haven't been hearing from them" much at all lately.
And that's fine with me.

They don't belong here. I make no apologies for stating that.

At least one impressed me as being "a paid influencer". Haven't seen anything at all from him lately, even though he still seems to be lurking.

Canada PM Trudeau to meet with Trump on Friday in Florida, media reports

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has arrived in Palm Beach, Florida, ahead of a meeting with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort, according to media reports.

Trudeau's public itinerary does not list a scheduled visit to Florida. Neither Trudeau's office nor Trump's representatives immediately responded to requests for comment.

Canada's Globe and Mail newspaper, citing two unidentified sources, reported that Trudeau was in Florida to meet with Trump. CNN, citing a source, later reported that Trump was going to have dinner with Trudeau on Friday night at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Canada's Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc is traveling with Trudeau, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp reported.

Trump threatened on Monday to impose a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico until the countries clamped down on drugs, particularly fentanyl, and migrants crossing the border.
