US deploys anti-ballistic system to Israel, Iran says ‘no red lines’

The US deployed a special anti-ballistic missile battery system and its 100-member crew to help defend Israel against a potential third direct attack from Iran, as Tehran warns it has no redlines in the war with its archfoes.

“This action underscores the United States’ ironclad commitment to the defense of Israel, and to defend Americans in Israel, from any further ballistic missile attacks by Iran,” the Pentagon said Sunday.

“It is part of the broader adjustments the US military has made in recent months, to support the defense of Israel and protect Americans from attacks by Iran and Iranian-aligned militias,” the Pentagon stated.

American troops are now actively deployed in Israel to defend Israel during a time of war.

Had the same thought. Is this just another jab at Kamala and her Congressional backers?
After all, Kamala said there were NO troops currently deployed in combat zones.

I wonder. It could be an attempt by the MIC to embroil us in a mid east war before the election results are in and through Biden's lame duck moment. If so, it speaks of little faith in Kamala winning, and a last ditch attempt to cash in before Trump is sworn in.

That may be wishful thinking on my part, but Trump doesn't seem to be feeding the MIC, having had (sane) plans to withdraw from Afghanistan, and generally avoiding starting new wars.

... at least if they cal them "advisors" or "contractors" there would be an off-ramp from getting sucked into another Middle East ground war.
