Joe Biden vented his anger at Benjamin Netanyahu in a series of profanity-laden rants, accusing the Israeli prime minister of 'regularly lying to him' during the war in Gaza, according to a bombshell new book.

The US President labelled Netanyahu a 'bad f***ing guy' and 'son of a bi**h' in conversations with his associates, journalist Bob Woodward writes in his new insider account.

President Biden's 'frustrations and distrust' of Netanyahu 'erupted' last spring, Woodward writes, as the war in Gaza became increasingly destructive and spread into Rafah, a southern area of the Strip where many refugees had fled.

Biden and Netanyahu have known each other for nearly 40 years, with their relationship stretching back to when the President was a junior senator in his early 40s and Netanyahu was a fledgling diplomat around ten years younger.

However, their relationship has been somewhat strained at times, and Netanyahu was a key international ally of Biden's rival Donald Trump while the former president was in the White House.

Made me laugh. Of course Israel was lying to this moron. Israel knows that the Biden/Obama administration is completely in the pocket of China and Iran. Israel knows that anything said to the moron in the White House will be public knowledge in a matter of minutes.

James Baker, a former secretary of State, didn’t seem troubled during an interview on Sunday by recent anonymous comments from Obama administration officials knocking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel.

Baker said that administration officials calling Netanyahu “chickenshit” in The Atlantic couldn’t be a positive for U.S-Israeli relations.

But he also noted that he had his own issues with Netanyahu when he was secretary of State under President George H.W. Bush.

Baker said that Netanyahu – then a senior Israeli official on foreign policy – had said that “American policy in the Middle East is based on lies and distortions” during the George H.W. Bush administration. 

“I barred him from the State Department,” Baker said. “That may not be widely known.”

President Biden spoke on the phone Wednesday morning with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and discussed Israel's plans to retaliate against Iran.

Vice President Harris also joined the call, the White House said.

Why it matters: The call was the first between Biden and Netanyahu since Aug. 21, and comes as Israel considers a major attack against Iran that could significantly escalate its regional war.

What they're saying: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the call lasted 30 minutes and was "direct and productive."

    "On Lebanon, the President emphasized the need for a diplomatic arrangement to safely return both Lebanese and Israeli civilians to their homes on both sides of the Blue Line," the White House said in a readout.

    "The President affirmed Israel's right to protect its citizens from Hezbollah, which has fired thousands of missiles and rockets into Israel over the past year alone, while emphasizing the need to minimize harm to civilians, in particular in the densely populated areas of Beirut." ...

The source for this claim is Bob Woodward's latest fiction book and his annoymorous source(s). The story is very plausible but should be taken with a decent-sized block of salt.
