Texas AG Wins Appeals Court Ruling Weeks Ahead of Election
Story by Kevin Scott • 8h
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been outspoken about his intentions to ensure election integrity and investigate instances of alleged voter fraud in the upcoming 2024 election cycle. However, a federal judge initially blocked the state's efforts related to investigating alleged vote harvesting cases.
Knewz.com is reporting that a federal judge initially ruled that specific voting restrictions in Texas are unconstitutional. However, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily blocked the judge's ruling, securing a win for Paxton.
“Blocking our ability to investigate certain election crimes would have been a serious disruption to the electoral landscape with only a month left before Election Day,” Paxton responded.
