The program had been frozen after the alleged fraud was uncovered. U.S. Customs and Border Protection has released the number of illegal aliens who have been admitted into the United States via the federal government’s CHNV parole scheme.
A new report reveals that as of August 2024, nearly 530,000 illegal aliens from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela have been flown into the country and granted parole.
The number includes more than 110,000 Cubans, an estimated 210,000 Haitians, an excess of 93,000 Nicaraguans, and 117,000 Venezuelans permitted to stay inside the United States via the program’s benefits since its inception in January 2023.
State Rep. David Spiller (R—Jacksboro) told Texas Scorecard that Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden are intentionally putting Texans in danger through their open border policies.
“Our state and our nation cannot sustain the ongoing invasion of terrorists, convicted felons, violent gang members and drug dealers that are overtaking our communities. Texas has had enough,” he said.
Spiller is the Texas House sponsor of Senate Bill 4—new legislation that criminalizes illegal entry into Texas and empowers law enforcement to conduct arrests and deportations of illegal aliens. However, it is currently bogged down in the courts.
“Texans must protect Texas when the Biden-Harris administration is trying to destroy the very fabric of our nation,” Spiller concluded.
