AP:  "The golf course was partially shut down for Trump as he played, and agents were a few holes ahead of him when they noticed the person with  the firearm, the officials said. The person appeared to push the muzzle  of the rifle through the fence line and that’s when agents fired, the officials said"

Agents spotted the suspect in the tree line in possession of a semi-automatic rifle which they believe to be an AK-47 or similar. The agents either exchanged fire with him, or else it was only the agents shooting at the suspect—this remains unclear. The suspect immediately fled into the trees and initially managed to evade agents, but was quickly apprehended and is now in law enforcement custody.

Secret Service opened fire on potential gunman carrying AK-47 outside Donald Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Fla. this afternoon while the former president was playing golf.

Investigators are treating the suspect as a potential assassin, U.S. official tells Fox News.

"This does not appear to be some random guy with an AK-47 walking outside Trump's club," the official added.

Looks like it was an OTR (off the record) movement for President Trump.
Security is handled differently for OTR movements, and this policy may have to change moving forward.
The Secret Service loses any element of surprise with an OTR movement with President Trump because he’s so recognizable, and his in-town schedule can be predictable.
Working with my contacts now to get out accurate information. I will provide a thorough update on my show tomorrow. And more on X and Truth tonight as I get it.

Imagine what media coverage would look like if two different people had tried to kill Obama, including hitting him once, in two months. We didn’t have shots fired at a president for 43 years and we may have now had it happen twice in 60 days. Seems like kind of a big deal.
