In a dramatic turn of events captured on video, “soyboy” attempted to rob an American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) black belt in New Zealand, only to be swiftly neutralized by the martial artist.

According to the account shared in a video on Bowerhouse MMA’s YouTube channel, the confrontation began innocuously enough. The American BJJ practitioner had just arrived in New Zealand and was exiting his hotel when he noticed an individual following him closely. The situation escalated quickly as the follower began making threats and demanding money.

“He was getting very close to me, threatening me. He was telling me he was going to take my money,” the BJJ black belt recounted. The confrontation turned physical when the would-be robber launched an attack on the martial artist. However, this was where his plans took a turn for the worse.





In NYC he’d be arrested for hurting the criminal.
