Black activists at the California assembly threatened a "direct impact" on Vice President Harris' presidential campaign after state Democratic lawmakers held off on two bills that would have greenlighted slavery reparations.

Last week, the California legislature approved proposals allowing for the return of land or compensation to families whose property was unjustly seized by the government, and issuing a formal apology for laws and practices that have harmed Black people. But none of those bills would provide widespread direct payments to African Americans. After hours of heated debate and protests on Saturday, state lawmakers left out two bills – Senate Bills 1403 and 1331 – that would have created a fund and an agency to oversee reparation measures.

"The speaker needs to bring the bills up now, now, now. These are their bills. They have their names on the bills. They’re killing their own bills because they’re scared of the governor," one Black man, a member of the Coalition for a Just and Equitable California, said in the rotunda on the last day of the legislative year on Saturday. "Now listen, they’re gonna see this, and they’re gonna get mad at us. They killing their own bills, and then they’re gonna get mad at us. They’re killing their own bills because they’re scared of the governor. We don’t care. Bring the G-- d--- bills up now, now, now."

"We need to send a message to the governor," a Black woman who is part of the same group chimed in, according to video shared on X. "The governor needs to understand the world is watching California and this is gonna have a direct impact on your friend Kamala Harris who is running for president. This is going to have a direct impact, so pull up the bills now, vote on them and sign them. We’ve been waiting for over 400 years."

In CA it's always been dominated by "latinos" or whatever we're supposed to call them all.  Blacks are pretty low-level historically.  So, in CA it's not shocking at all they've long been "replaced".

In 2016 and 2020 Trump got ~1/3 of California Presidential votes. I would be very surprised if in 2024 Trump got as high as 40%, and if he got 45% my flabber would be totally gasted. IOW, if Trump could get all Presidential votes by blacks, it would not flip California's Electoral vote unless Trump got an insanely unrealistic percentage of other Presidential votes. I would love to be wrong, of course, but my flabber would be doubly gasted, not a pretty sight.

No you don't.  Your ballots are going to be cast for the Democrat whether you show up to vote or not.  As long as you're registered, someone is going to fill out a ballot for you with every Dem box checked, and  that ballot will end up in a ballot box.  All they have to do is get you registered to vote.

Trump could get 80%.  But once all the satchels full of ballots that showed up after election day were counted, that 80% would fall under 50% again.

Let's say California has 10 million registered voters.  And on election night, Trump had 6 million votes.  By the end of Wednesday or early Thursday, Harris would have 7 million votes.  Never mind that this is 3 million more votes than registered voters.  According to California ballot harvesting law, any ballots dropped off at a polling place must be counted.  No questions asked.  How else do you think they were able to flip Orange County?

Any Black American, whether they live in California or not, that votes for Harris after she actively promoted the invasion of America by millions of illegals, that were primarily Hispanic, and supplanted them at the government the government teat is a fool. It would be the equivalent of telling their slave master ‘yes sir may I have another ten lashes’.
