Words cannot express how much I want the Jackets to win this.

8 OT

Bet Georgia (the State) is 20 degrees warmer than Alabama right now just due to this game.

Old old school BAMA fans hate them, too.  I think Alabama was the school that got Ga Tech kicked out of the SEC.

I hated them, up until the point that I enrolled there.  But my hatred for Georgia will never end.

To hell with Georgia.  What a disappointment.  We wouldn't even be at this point if not for the bad calls.  Three touchdowns that Georgia did not earn.

I am surprised at how conservative football teams play during OT. This isn't regular play from scrimmage, especially on the two point conversions. You have one play to make 2 yards, with 98 behind you. Any coach should recognize that as an opportunity to take a much higher risk than regular play. Use the lateral, spread the field horizontally since the vertical is so compressed. The other team's field position isn't going to be affected so be bold!

He probably does, but that loudmouth Colorado coach is practically demanding his two-way player wins it, and heaven knows we have to listen to "Prime."

Travis Hunter wins the Heisman. I call BS. He is a mid player IMO. Overhyped.

Just thinking about 4 biggest college football leagues:

Big 12 - new team in league wins it.

Big 10 - new team in league wins it

ACC - new team in league barely misses out as champion.

SEC - new team in league barely missed out as champ.

What does that tell us about these conferences and how they have tradionally been power-ranked over the years?

The college game has been ruined with these super conferences.  With the Big-10 turning into the Big-18, Indiana makes it into the playoffs with only a single Top-25 team on their schedule, a game they lost.  SMU in ACC faced only two opponents in the Top-25 - 17th ranked BYU and 16th ranked Clemson.  Their 9-team conference schedule included four of the worst five teams in their 17-team conference.  Compare that with Alabama who had four of the top five SEC teams on its conference schedule.  Arizona State gets a first round bye after scheduling six of the bottom seven Big-12 teams on its conference schedule.

The guy played both sides of the ball at a high level in a major conference on a team that went 9-3 despite their head coach insisting on having his own kid at QB.

I'm sorry, but that's as strong of a Heisman resumé as any I know of.

Any time I see a collegiate show boat "The Heisman Pose"....   I automatically root against.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Alabama was the biggest cause and benefactor of these superconferences and all of the TV money they bring in... while they get an extra nonconference game to schedule Mercer.

I get the frustration with the megaconferences—yes, the B1G has basically become the Big Ten and Pac-10 all in one (who needs a Rose Bowl?)—but using that as the temper tantrum for why Alabama isn't getting their token playoff invitation is childish. ESPECIALLY after Alabama's token playoff invitation robbed Central Florida, who defeated otherwise-undefeated Memphis and otherwise one-loss Houston in their 2017 schedule only to be pooh-poohed out of the CFP because it wasn't a major conference. Alabama CAUSED this by getting the four seed in the 2017/18 CFP.

Nope. Mid player. Dillon Gabriel deserved it more than Hunter behind Jeanty.
