California’s recent hike in the minimum wage to $20 an hour has sent shockwaves through the fast food industry, particularly affecting McDonald’s franchises. Franchise owners are grappling with the unprecedented impact of the wage increase, which has led to higher operational costs and increased menu prices. The situation has become so dire that some McDonald’s locations are on the brink of closing their doors.

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

It's just another in a long line of liberal, socialist, communist economic successes.

How you and I define success is different than their definition

To progressives, this is success
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Every restaurant owner in CA has to be thinking his or her business will be the next to go.

Crippling draconian taxes, rampant unchecked crime, incredible regulations on every part and detail of so-called 'your business', and now wage laws, have most businesses fleeing California because there is no point to doing business there.

Unlike what the Liberal mind believes, no one opens a business for charity or for community benefits. People run businesses to make money. When you take the 'make money' part out of the equation, then who need the stress and the hundreds of different liabilities involved in running businesses today.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

Runing a restaurant these days is pretty tough job and government keeps throwing more knives into their backs. Particularly in California.
