There are a solid 30 years and counting of poorly conducted studies that form the foundations for the current climate panic.
To remove reference to that nonsense would require the elimination of not only the bad papers, but entire libraries of popular science (not capitalized on purpose) and fiction, from such notable and 'preeminent' publications as National Geographic. To purge the nonsense would require a Herculean effort. Even just going back and putting corrective statements in print, film, and other media would take a generation, it is that entrenched.
But before I celebrate, I have to ask what, specifically has been retracted. It might be that this is nothing but a purge to support the alleged consensus.
