The language does not criminalize the New Testament, and does not say that blaming Jews for the crucification is anti-semitism. The last five words of the language they claim does that makes that clear. The relevant language they said is the problem says:
"Using the symbols and images association with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis".
And yes, using the fact that some specific Jews 2000 years ago participated in the killing of Jesus to characterize Israel or Israelis today
is classic antisemitism. That's a very different thing from pointing out the historical fact that certain specific Jews participated in the killing of Jesus, which nobody denies. It is using that act to condemn all subsequent jews, and in this context Israel/Israelis, that convert it to racism/antisemitism.
MTG and Tucker know that, but they don't care about the truth. Or more likely, they're just okay will saying that all jews are guilty of the killing of Jesus.
