The National Archives has handed just under 6,000 pages of documents to the House Oversight Committee as part of its impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

The range of documents from the Obama administration, when Biden was vice president, were handed over this week, according to documents obtained by Axios, after the committee requested them last year.

The various documents given to the committee include those relating to drafts of a speech Biden gave to the Ukrainian legislature in 2015 while he was vice president, and communications involving Hunter Biden and his business associates. It also includes communications from staffers in the administration “to, from, copying or regarding Hunter Biden or James Biden.”

Republicans on the committee requested various documents from the National Archives as part of its inquiry last year, and the committee has received thousands of pages of documents in various batches in the past several months.

The latest batch of documents comes as the House GOP continues its investigation into Biden and his family’s business dealings — zeroing in on Hunter Biden’s dealings with several business partners during and after Joe Biden’s time as vice president.
