THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office has released more details involving a man and a woman who were arrested in connection with an attempted murder investigation involving a 15-year-old girl.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet let his emotions show, describing the horrifying moment the 15-year-old girl was found clinging to life in the back of the crashed car.  ... “Found to be suffering from large-scale burns to majority of her upper body and multiple gunshot wounds,” Soignet said.

Soignet added Washington allegedly admitted to sexually abusing the victim, shooting her twice and being aware that Harris had allegedly set her on fire. ...
