Indeed. I also just read a good analysis that he really doesn't want to end the case to please his constituents but is punting the outcome to the more politically insulated Appellate Courts. Makes sense. Profile in courage it ain't though.

After watching the Willis deliberations, I knew this judge was a feckless wet noodle.
