Nikki Haley is official winner of DC primary, 1st victory for campaign

WASHINGTON — Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley won her first presidential primary on Sunday, carrying nearly 63% of the vote. She won the District primary over former President Donald Trump, among others.

The DC Republican Party reported a total of 2,035 voters participating in its Presidential Primary.

The DC GOP released the following final results for the office of President:

  • Nikki Haley - 62.86% or 1,274
  • Donald Trump - 33.22% or 676
  • Ron DeSantis - 1.87% or 38
  • Chris Christie - .88% or 18
  • Vivek Ramaswamy - .74% or 15
  • David Stuckenberg - .39% or 8
  • Ryan L. Binkley - .04% or 1

All 19 Delegates and 16 Alternate Delegates from the District of Columbia are awarded to Governor Nikki Haley.  .  .

I find it hard to believe that there are 2,000 Republicans in Washington.

Fantastic!

This just illustrates the inherent bias in the jury pool in DC for all the 1/6 defendants, and indicates the real need for a change in venue.

Maybe somewhere like Kansas...

Former President Trump brushed off a GOP primary loss in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, saying after Nikki Haley claimed her first victory of the primary season that there was no “upside” to competing in the race.

“I purposely stayed away from the D.C. Vote because it is the ‘Swamp,’ with very few delegates, and no upside,” Trump said on Truth Social late Sunday. “Birdbrain spent all of her time, money and effort there. Over the weekend we won Missouri, Idaho, and Michigan – BIG NUMBERS – Complete destruction of a very weak opponent. The really big numbers will come on Super Tuesday.”

Haley took 62.8 percent of the vote to Trump’s 33.3 percent in the D.C. GOP primary, according to Decision Desk HQ results. The race comes just before the pivotal Super Tuesday contests.

Trump’s campaign press secretary, meanwhile, slammed Haley for the win, dubbing her “Queen of the Swamp.”

The guy I feel sorry for is  "Ryan L. Binkley - .04% or 1".  The ONLY vote he got was the one he cast himself. He couldn't even get his family to vote for him. That's sad,I  don't care who you are.

Of the 2035 votes cast, Mr. Trump still got 33% -- actually, surprisingly good, considering the location.

How many actual Republicans ARE THERE in the District of Columbia...?
