So, if you tell the Bible account of Sodom and Gomorrah, you can be charged with "hate speech"? (In Canada?)
To remonstrate, out of love, hoping for repentance is a far cry from the hate displayed by the jackbooted totalitarians who would fine or imprison those who speak to intervene in a lifestyle that commonly leads to misery and even death. What about Muslims chucking homosexuals from a high place, or Jews putting to death (by law) both the animals and people who engage in conjugal relations (Leviticus 20: 15-16)?
The Canadians I have known have been much more laissez faire as to others' personal business, but that does not deter them from having their opinions. If merely voicing those opinions, even in a religious contest, could get them in the dock, then the government will have decided it is more powerful than The Almighty, and that will not end well for them.
