He made waves with McConnell so it is doubtful that he's going to get any help in keeping his seat from the NRSC.

Beating Rick Scott a near must for Democrats if they want to keep control of U.S. Senate

Florida has earned recognition nationwide for its "war on woke" policies, Republicans' plurality in voter registrations and being home to some of the most prominent Republican figures in American politics. But the Sunshine State may still be pivotal to the Democrats' aspirations to keep control of the U.S. Senate in the November elections.

At the outset, it seems a long shot. But Democrats point out incumbent Rick Scott, a senator since 2018, has a record of winning narrow elections. He won his two gubernatorial elections by about a percentage point in each and his Senate seat six years ago by just over 10,000 votes.

It also doesn't help that Scott entered 2024 in a vulnerable position.

His 2022 plan to sunset all federal programs was dismissed by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, a Kentucky Republican. Scott then failed in a challenge to unseat McConnell as GOP leader in November of that year, and then fumed when McConnell removed him from the Senate Commerce committee.

Just as bad, President Biden slammed Scott's plan in last year's State of the Union address, saying it would imperil Social Security and Medicare. Scott fired back that Biden was "lying" about his proposal, but the Florida senator ultimately capitulated by carving out Social Security, Medicare, the Veterans Administration as well as national defense and security funding................

Scott was much more valuable to the Democrats when he led the NRSC.  It was his job to take control the Senate in 2022.  In a year where the deck was heavily stacked against Democrats, he actually lost a seat.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

I'm not a fan, but I would like to see McConnell step down, new leadership step in and the GOP take the majority in the Senate.
