Yes indeed.  It's just the usual gaslighting hoping that nobody notices or cares by diminishing the seriousness of the injuries.  I guarantee that these service people will have problems getting their appropriate level of benefits from the VA after they leave service because their injuries have publicly been called "non-serious."

Also, now with three dead, and up to 40 wounded by last account, this sounds more and more like a mass casualty event.  But Biden and Austin don't want people to know that truth, since they desperately want to "avoid war with Iran."

White House: Response to Lethal Attack Will ‘Hopefully Have a Better Effect’ on Iran’s Actions Unlike Prior Responses

On Monday’s broadcast of NPR’s “Morning Edition,” White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby acknowledged that Iran’s calculus for backing attacks on U.S. troops hasn’t been changed by the Biden administration and the response to the lethal attack over the weekend will “be calibrated to hopefully have a better effect on the decision-making of these groups.”

Co-host Steve Inskeep said, [relevant exchange begins around 3:35] "It would seem — if you assume that Iran is in some way behind these attacks in Jordan, attacks in Yemen, attacks in other places, attacks from Lebanon into Israel, if you assume Iran is behind all of that, that they’re not deterred, that they’re confident that they can get away at least with this level of violence.”

Kirby responded, “Clearly, they continue to encourage some of these attacks. They continue to resource these groups that conduct these attacks. So, we haven’t seen a change in the calculus of the supreme leader or the IRGC, and that’s deeply concerning. And that’s why we’re going to take the right time to make the appropriate response decisions in the wake of this attack. The president’s taken this very seriously. It was a consequential attack now. We’ve had three servicemembers killed, 30-some-odd wounded, and there will be a response, as the president said, and it’ll be calibrated to hopefully have a better effect on the decision-making of these groups.”

Inskeep then said, “Sounds like it’s not calibrated the way you want yet.”

Apparently, there are three THOUSAND American troops in Jordan. That's more than we had in Afghanistan at the end of Donald Trump's presidency.

Why are they there? How is this protecting Americans? They're just another facet of America's perpetual quasi-war in the quagmires of the Middle East. They're there so neocons can feel tough demanding more bombings of places people have never heard of. They're there so that, when these countries collapse, our leaders can tell use we have a "moral obligation" to admit hundreds of thousands of refugees permanently into this country.

Every soldier in Jordan should be brought home and put on the Mexican border, where they can actually protect THIS country and its people for once.

There needs to be a strategic international coalition of Iran's external and internal enemies to strategically deconstruct Iran and its Axis of Resistance on multiple fronts - economic, espionage, sabotage, subterfuge - similar to Cold War tacticts used against the USSR, and similar to Lincoln's Anaconda Strategy to defeat the Confederacy on the battefield by destroying their economy.

Their choke point is refining.  Iran lacks the refinery capacity to provide itself with enough gasoline.  If we block the import of gasoline and take out one of their refineries, then their economy would suffer greatly.
