  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Excuses after excuses .... he WAS the sitting President.  He had every right and authority to implement the Insurrection Act and he FAILED to do so.  He promised to quell the riots not once but twice and he didn't do it -- so they called his bluff.

He was impeached --  he wasn't removed from office -- that's a very lame excuse and has absolutely nothing to do with the Insurrection Act.

The one that is blind is you -- open your eyes.  None of his policies took hold.  He has 91 felonies against him - - whether bogus or not, all they need is one to stick. He's talked about 'Freedom Cities' , being a dictator for one day, slanders conservatives -- and this is who you want to run our country again??  He FAILED to build the wall - keep in mind he had a super majority for 2 years and did NOTHING!!!

So @christian exactly what has changed or are you expecting he will deliver a different result and if so, how??
The GOP(e) had the supermajority.

Legislation is the purview of the Congress (separation of powers and all that). The POTUS cannot write law, but is frequently blamed when the Congress does not do its job, even when requested to do so.

In all fairness, they could have put virtually anything on his desk and he would have signed it, yet they (the Congress, who writes Bills which can become Law) did virtually nothing, knowing they could deflect blame on Trump. It was the GOP in Congress that pissed away the Trifecta (Both Houses  and the Oval Office). True, earth-shaking reform could have happened, but they sat on their hands.

So, to spite one man, they screwed the country, and then tried to deflect blame.

The felony counts are about as legitimate as the recent judgement of millions of dollars for defamation (yeah, Trump has a big mouth), handed down by biased courts working in collusion (literally in bed with) crooked lawyers, and the 'charges' (when even more egregious and less justifiable examples are present in this administration) are, well, trumped up from little or nothing.

Those are all about optics, designed to cost Trump support, (which may have backfired), but any willing prosecutor can charge you with anything, justified or not, and it is still not a conviction.

There is no shortage of willing Leftist prosecutors who are willing to put that quarter in the slot and pull the lever hoping for a career jackpot out of the slot machine that is modern American Jurisprudence.

The only reason it doesn't happen more often to ordinary folks is that the 'payout' would be nothing on the order of 'bringing down' a former POTUS.

The blatant corruption inherent in all this has been obvious, in-your-face obvious, yet the media that spent day and night attacking Nixon is creaming their collective jeans over another such shot at bringing down a (Republican) POTUS and basking in the power they feel over doing so, even as the current regime is using 'former' intelligence agency employees to 'recommend' what gets censored from virtually every form of media out there.

This is a de facto Soviet style coup and the totalitarians are winning while they have the GOP in shreds fighting each other and they are literally getting away with everything from the sexual mutilation of children to murder.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Seems to have been written in invisible ink!  Though Biden erased what Trump did, blame it ll on Trump anyway.

Exactly true and fair. Had he the wherewithal to write laws instead of governing by EO, his work could not be overturned on a whim.

But he did not.

A president that governs by EO is a weak president.

Good on ya, Smokin' Joe, for reminding folks like bele that many of the failures that she (and others here) would attribute to Mr. Trump were in fact failures of the Republican-controlled Congress at the time.

BOTH the House and Senate -- and they still did next-to-nothing.

@Fishrrman

Too many of them are sharing in the "backdoor" profits of too many businesses that have "special understandings" with their congresscritters and US Senators.

BTW,when did "selling your office for personal profits" stop being a crime?

Our military is more than capable to stop those that try to come into the country illegally, especially if given the authority to use deadly force. However, our military does not have the training to conduct law enforcement investigations. If we were to take active military police and place them in high crime areas that might be helpful, but even then it will take time to get them up to speed on who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.

Our Imperial President has already threatened to use our own military against our citizens to challenge their rights to oppose Joe.  Many of Joes lock-steppers have no criticism for such threat to America or its government established rule or such blatant threats to our citizens.
