Sen. Tim Scott set to endorse Donald Trump in snub to Nikki Haley: reports

Sen. Tim Scott, Donald Trump’s onetime rival in the 2024 presidential race, will announce Friday he is endorsing the former president for the Republican nomination.

Scott (R-SC), who dropped out of the race Nov. 12 and vowed at the time he would not endorse another candidate, is expected to make his backing official at a Trump campaign rally in New Hampshire, according to multiple reports.

The decision by Scott to endorse Trump ahead of the Jan. 23 New Hampshire primary is a blow to Scott’s fellow South Carolinian, former Palmetto State Gov. Nikki Haley — who appointed Scott in December 2012 to the Senate seat he has since won twice on his own.

Haley, 51, is Trump’s nearest challenger in New Hampshire, and the consensus among political observers is that she must win the primary to deny the 45th president a cakewalk to the Republican nomination in Milwaukee later this year.

Since Scott exited the race, the Trump campaign had mounted a concerted effort to win his support.

Well, Trump is certainly bringing in the endorsements.  Trump will be the nominee (if the leftists don't stop him) and I believe Scott would be an excellent VP choice for him.

Tim Scott to endorse Trump at rally in New Hampshire Friday evening

Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina is endorsing former President Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican nomination race, Fox News confirmed on Friday.

Scott, who in November ended his own run for the White House, will formally announce his support for Trump when he appears alongside the former president at a rally Friday evening in Concord, New Hampshire, sources with knowledge of the matter told Fox News.

Both Trump, who's the commanding front-runner in the GOP nomination race, and former U.N. ambassador and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley called the senator in recent days as they both tried to secure Scott's endorsement, sources confirm.

While Scott's presidential campaign failed to ignite, he remains very popular with Republican primary voters and his endorsement has been heavily coveted by the remaining GOP candidates...............

NO.
Just another "checkmark candidate"

(someone who ticks the correct "boxes", instead of having real qualifications).

Consider the source, Sen Scott also endorsed Murkowski of Alaska.
