Almost half of Haley supporters say they would vote for Biden over Trump: Iowa poll
by Rachel Scully - 01/14/24 10:06 AM ET

Just under half of likely Iowa GOP caucusgoers who support former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley indicated that they would make a crossover to the Democratic party, saying that they would rather vote for President Biden over former President Trump.

A new NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll released just one day before the Iowa caucus found that 43 percent of Haley backers in the state said they would vote for Biden if Trump is the GOP nominee while 23 percent say they would vote for the former president. Eight percent said they would vote for Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Overall, 71 percent of likely GOP caucus goers said they would vote for Trump in 2024 while only 11 percent said they would vote for Biden.

I absolutely cannot stand Haley, but I'd cast a vote for her over Biden.   She wouldn't be as bad as Biden, and she isn't Trump.

Considering she has no chance of being the Republican nominee, maybe Joe should replace Kammy with Nikki as his running mate. Not much difference.

I'd actually choose Trump over Halley.  Liberal, pioneer woke, ultra-globalist, and GOP.  Think Romney on 'roids.

In other words, almost half the people purporting to pollsters to be Haley supporters are Democrats.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

I'm prepared that Haley will be the GOP nominee and very possibly our next president.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

  • I don't believe in Trump anymore, he's an illusion
Are these actual Republican Haley supporters, or are they the democrat crossovers, asking for a friend. And don't forget, we have been told many times that not voting for Trump(or I guess any republican presidential candidate) would be the same as voting for Biden.

And Trump will find a way to launch a third party bid, split the vote, and ensure Biden's second term.

NOPE. I sure as hell won't vote for Biden. But I won't vote for big government on the right... That means no vote for Tumpy or for Haley. No chance in hell. Just as far from what I'd vote for as Biden is.

I don't think she would be as bad as Biden,, and she wouldn't damage the GOP/conservatism heading into 2028 the way Trump would.  A lesser of two evils vote.

I honestly don't know which of Trump or Biden would be worse, and that's largely because I think the populist MAGA movement might kill off the conservative wing of the GOP if Trump wins again.   For all her many flaws, Haley would never say that Stacey Abrams would be better than Kemp as Trump did.

That's why I'd vote for her but not for Trump over Biden

It tells me that DJT is just not acceptable.  Sad. Truly sad. He went after a conservative and put his thumbs down on conservatism. What does that say about Trump?  It tells me all I need to know about how far he's fallen.

Always a possibility, but I see that as doubtful.  Just my opinion.

That's sure possible, but I suspect he'll be in jail by then.

Well, that too. Though I think they'll wait till the very last minute to lock him away; they've already got the plans in motion.

Trump definitely has better entertainment value.

Ditto
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
