Yeah, not gonna fly in rural America. But you better start leaning into ancient lines letting them go to flower so you can collect the seeds... They've already been messin with hybrids that don't make after a few generations, and COVID was a real good indicator of what will happen if they want it to... There for a while you couldn't hardly get seed, and canning jars and lids were nearly impossible to find.
They can mess with supply side, and will.
Got jars, lids, water bath and pressure canners. I buy next year's lids this year. Have a stock of seed, too, not hybrid. My garden is screened and often appears to bee weed infested, so I don't worry so much.
My beef with COVID was that the supply of readily available antibiotics dried right up at the start of it.
