No,the mistake was in not monitoring them and making sure they didn't try to indoctrinate students instead of teach them.

Teaching stops and indoctrination begins when teachers start teaching opinions instead of historical facts.

Not that there is anything wrong with having opinions. Where things go wrong is when you try to indoctrinate the children you are SUPPOSED to be teaching with opinions and stating they are facts.

Of course,the flip side of this is too few parents seem to be willing or able to take the time to monitor at home what their children are being taught in the public AND the private schools they send them to.
