Christmas 2023: We are losing everything--Woke has left our country a shell devoid of its culture
Dr. Alexander Nussbaum image
By Dr. Alexander Nussbaum ——Bio and Archives--December 24, 2023

Christmas, 2023. Let us be thankful for what we have. Or at least what we had, because we are losing everything. I believe in American exceptionalism. The United States was a country of unprecedented opportunity, unprecedented economic wealth, unprecedented freedom. It stood for human dignity and individualism.

What were the roots of American exceptionalism? It was founded by people who were largely religious, however because of the multitude of religions no official religion could be established. The United States was founded relatively recently, after the birth of the Enlightenment, so it could take the best of the mother European cultures while avoiding the worst. It did not have to emerge from a history of totalitarian kings and an oppressive church.

Woke has left our country a shell devoid of its culture
We have heard debates about whether the United States was founded on Christian values or whether it was founded on enlightenment values. While the fact of the matter is not only was it founded on both, it was precisely because it was founded on the blending of both, that American exceptionalism emerged. It was a country of strong Christian values. Yet where religion did not trample on freedom, both personal and economic, or on science.

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

America had a great run… let’s at least be thankful for that.

Leave it to a guy with a name as Jewish as "Nussbaum" to take a dump on Christmas.

Do this on the Fourth of July when it matters. Today is not the day.

And even if the poor timing was ignored... you mean to tell me that Jesus would've approved of a screed like this espousing racist beliefs like "intelligence is ... almost entirely genetic?"

"Racist belief" ???
A simple graphic will do for an answer:

(Having posted this, I don't believe Jesus was interested all that much in IQ as a qualification to enter his kingdom...)

Weird post ...

I did not read any word in the article as, 'to take a dump on Christmas'. The opposite, he seems to be lamenting the loss of traditional Christmas.

The tragedy of the present is that Christian values have been replaced by woke values.

This is a patently 'racist' interpretation of the writing based on the assumption that the author's name is "as Jewish as Nussbaum". Then after a racist accusation of the author being "Jewish" (ewww!) based on a name, the post goes on to condemn 'racism'. The implicit point being that antisemitism is NOT racism.

The point is misdirected and convoluted. If anyone is taking a dump on the spirit of Christmas it is this post, not the article it refers to. Weird post ... but whatever. To each his own.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

America was a place where anyone could succeed regardless of their tribe, class, race or religion. It was a culture based on merit.

That has been thrown into the trash in the name of "social justice". Something that offers no justice at all.

Now all the things that matter in other parts of the world, tribe, class, race and religion dominate who has what opportunities.

That is the death of the promise of America. It will bring America to its knees.

@jmyrlefuller

You mean it's not?

Seriously?

Then where does it come from,the Tooth  Fairy?

Ever seen a genius from a family of retards? I haven't. MOST of the "scary smart" people I have met came from "scary smart families"

Every once in a while we all see or meet someone from what we laughingly call "normal families" that is scary smart,but chances are that was the result of a "close encounter in the wood pile while "daddy" wasn't home".

AND......,there are an awful lot of people out there running around free that sometimes have just ONE "really,really,REALLY good idea",and that one good idea can change the world. They almost never get the credit  for it because they almost never  have the funds to develop the idea and put it into production,so they sell it to the people who DO have the experience and financial ability to produce it,and THEY get all the credit.

@240B @jmyrlefuller

BTW,this MIGHT  be a good time to take note of the FACT that Jesus was genetically Jewish.

BTW,*I* am NOT Jewish by birth OR beliefs. I am a proud "Heathen".

Yup! Socialism or any other "flavor" of Communism IS the "death of creativity",and killing creativity IS the death of civilization.

BTW,"charity" is a private form of socialism,and is not  only acceptable,it is a VERY good thing for everyone involved as long as it REMAINS "charity" and doesn't become mandatory.

Or that is MY opinion anyway,and worth every dollar it cost you.

Socialism is where the government owns the means of production. Charty is NOT socialism.

I'll reject that, nearly whole cloth @sneakypete ...
9/10ths of intellect is fostered by a familial culture that encourages, nay, insists upon it.

Sure there are those without a fair shake, and sure there are those that catch a break. But by and large it is taught.

Socialism's meaning is "collective ownership of production" and "collective" always means government. Charity and socialism are not the same thing.

@DB

Glad you pointed that out. While the END RESULT is the same,the motivations and the actions are completely different due to the lack of force.

Sometimes when you split a hair,it is for profound reasons.  This is probably THE prime example of that now that you have pointed this out.

Thanks!
