Pope Calls for Global Governance

The spiritual leader of the world’s 1.3 billion Roman Catholics wants globalist organizations to police environmental policies. Though Pope Francis was too ill to attend the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, he sent the Vatican’s secretary of state to tout global governance as the solution to the so-called ecological debts that wealthy nations have racked up toward poorer nations.

“I have the honor to read the address that his holiness Pope Francis prepared for this occasion,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin told 70,000 delegates assembled in Expo City, Dubai, on December 2.

“May we be attentive to the cry of the Earth, may we hear the plea of the poor, may we be sensitive to the hopes of the young and the dreams of children,” Parolin read. “It has now become clear that the climate change presently taking place stems from the overheating of the planet, caused chiefly by the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere due to human activity, which in recent decades has proved unsustainable for the ecosystem. The drive to produce and possess has become an obsession, resulting in an inordinate greed that has made the environment the object of unbridled exploitation. The climate, run amok, is crying out to us to halt this illusion of omnipotence.”

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

El Popo seems to have forgotten the admonishment of Jesus to give unto God that which is God's and unto Caesar that which is Caesar's. :pondering:

9999hair out0000  I cannot give any credence to this Pope. I believe that he is a danger to the world. It's quite astonishing that cardinals selected him to be pope. The pope is going down a very slippery slope --as a Catholic I cannot follow him, not trust in what he says or does.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

The drive to produce and possess has become an obsession, resulting in an inordinate greed that has made the environment the object of unbridled exploitation.

Says the man who heads a global concern that amassed vast wealth and power profiting from the likes of the Conquistadors, who enslaved indigenous populations and Africans to bring wealth back to Spain and the Church.

This Pope is a far-Left secular socialist. I do not think he thinks about or actually cares about or even considers the Bible or God in anything he says and does.

A one world government does not tolerate religion unless they are in direct control of it. The Pope would no longer be 'selected', he would be appointed by the politburo based on his government approval rating. Then the NWO would form some sort of Bible committee to fuse all religious texts worldwide in to some kind of NWO New Bible for the New God. All other religious testaments will be destroyed and banned.

But again, I think this guy either doesn't care about any of this or he may actually be in favor of it.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

You make a point that I hadn't thought of, but definitely within the realm of possibility and likely, seeing the Brandon's transition team's objective was to push against Christianity which fits with your thoughts on NWO New Bible for the New God. All other religious testaments will be destroyed and banned.......

“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.  These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.  These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

Revelation 17:12-14

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Local Methodist have broken with the woke church, as a Baptist I will break from the Baptist if they go any more woke worldly... I don't know what Catholics will do, but it is getting around that time to decide if you want to support something that is not Godly.
Exodus 18:21 Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders over ....
